OK, someone please explain for me, worth $200 or so; Why are dual coils really so much better ? Or is it just cloud chasing ? While your at it, where could I get a small amount of this Rayon to try, and is that good for running say dual 1.0 ohm coils (0.5 actual ohms) ? Finally, why is this money just itching to be spent ? It's not like I don't already have enough quality equipment....
It's not all cloud chasing , a lot depends on the atty and juice you're using , I find that it can bring out nuances in flavor that I don't get with single coil setups , but if the atty doesn't have the airflow for it , you'll accomplish nothing but burning more juice and batteries . I favor a .7 ohm dual coil build in the Magma , the same build in a KFL will get you a lot of burnt dry hits . You might want to start a little higher than .5 , depending on the atty you're gonna use , maybe shoot for .8 - .9 and take it from there .

Inline with my previous post , I dropped another coil into the Rose clone last night bringing the resistance down to .4 . I couldn't detect any difference between it and my single coil .4 ohm Gplat build other than using more juice , I'm likely at the limit with airflow on it because the juice flow control still has a lot of wiggle room left . At some point I'll try duals with a higher resistance to see if that gives any benefit , so far I'm still favoring the .4 ohm single . Figure this will be of interest to LA and Papaw .

I'm kinda waiting for the new Kayfun to see what they've done to it. I watched that PB review of the Russian V2 (whoever it was that posted that). I wasn't very impressed. Busardo said the Russian V2 and the new Kayfun have taken completely different paths with these new releases. Rumor has it the new Kayfun will be released in November.

That Russian is still a Kayfun 3.1 clone , almost pointless IMO , they supposedly use a higher grade of steel than SM but I'm not seeing any signs of degradation in my cheap FT 3.1 clone , no rust , still functions perfectly , maybe if I lived oceanfront it'd make a difference but we still have high humidity and a huge saltwater lake on one side of us and I live 1/4 mile from the mississippi river so I doubt it would make much difference .

The attraction for me (of course) is the smaller size and weight. From Q-- How light is it? ~Erlkonigin : ....32 grams (stock version with poly tank) ~Kayfun Lite : ..71 grams (stock version with half poly tank) So unless the new kayfun can compete with that, I'll probably go with the Erlp.
That makes sense if you're concerned about weight but I have a feeling that the same people that are drooling over the Erl will be doing the same thing when the new Kayfun comes out . :)

That's a nice weight difference. I remember thinking I liked the heft of the Kayfun when I first got it. It wasn't that cheap tinny crap. Things have changed! I have no idea what the new Kayfun is like. No one knows. No one is talking. And can Svoemesto rip off two game changers in a row? Comparing the Erlkonigan with the KFL is not really a fair comparison though. The KFL has been released for more than a year and a half, closer to two. The Erlk has been what...6 months? So many companies have copied the concepts and designs of the KFL since (including the Erlk). That was a true game changer. Wonder if they have another one. I doubt it. How many sequels were better than the original? Not many.

The Nano version, I'm almost scared too try it. Its so tiny..and yet holds 3 ml!!

I got 7.5ml in the regular one comfortably, and its smaller AND shorter than a KFL!

That's a deal breaker IMO , $33 dollars customs fee for a $40 atty , I think the limit is $250 in the US before you owe anything but I'm not positive about that .

My total order from I2R was $136 or something to that effect. The Customs fees included the Provincial taxes for that amount and a processing fee by DHL. It wasn't all their fee. It just irks me that DHL chooses to take that sum "before" customs actually charges you for it. Only they do that as far as I know..

Oh I would so be on that if I wasn't headed for Cancun! Dusty I haven't had a chance to catch up today on the Erlk thread, but I will soon. :)

I just watched Busardo's Erlk vid he did at the end of July. He wasn't particularly enamored with it. Gave it a thumbs up on vape quality but kinda hammered it alot on useability features and price. They are freaking expensive. Ridiculously expensive unless their pricing has changed recently. Haven't followed the Erlk since shortly after Q started his thread.

I watched that review awhile back , if I spend that amount of money on an atty it's gonna be a Gus Estia , the advantages are more obvious to me but I do wanna see what SM comes up with .
I should have said there's a clone in my future... Dusty got the Erlprinz- a clone from the original maker and IG has one on order from Fasttech. So I'm waiting to see how they both like their respective clones.
I might pick up an FT clone for S&G , after I pick up another Rose clone that is . :)
