Double Cross.. wow! Watching Todd's review on the Double Cross. His summary (very tentatively) - "I wouldn't recommend this, if you're looking for what I would consider to be "normal" vaping!" :lol:

"If you're a cloud chaser, have Pinoy blood flowing through your veins, or want to be adopted by the Philippines, buy it!" :lol:

I have enough M-T-L toppers. I want this for the Clouds.. MOAR CLOUDZZZZ!!! Bwahahahahaha!!!

Me personally, I had to 'limit' myself to two or three hits at a time with that setup. Any more than that and I would want to go lay down :unsure:

LOL.. I normally vape 12mg 70/30 or 80/20 juice. When "cloud chasing", I switch to 3mg, 100VG juice. Definitely helps..

In addition to your package, I've got another very important letter to send out. Chloe's letter to Santa. ;)

I tried vaping my absolutely delicious DIY juice yesterday but it's 10mg :( so harsh I dumped the tank in 5 minutes.
I haven't touched a REO since Monday and it's awesome. I have a feeling my LP will be sold soon. I prefer the rm2/standard profile REO more and more these days.
I am going basic more and more as I slim down my collection.

2 for 2! Kayfun is all nickel coiled. Filled with DF, I'll leave the other kayfun with kanthal for the provari. The nickel is challenging to handle, but not impossible.

Awesomesauce! How many coils, what configuration, and what temp are you vaping at?!

Single coil, 28g on the 5/64th drill bit, 14 wraps. Reads 0.13ohm TP set at 420.

Did I say I was in love with this thing? Hands down my best purchase ever.

I don't doubt it. Good job! :)

Fasttech has changed the product description from Authentic to OEM, which is a better way of putting it. They've also put a "mark" on the box to identify that it's not the "Original". They are made by the same factory that produces the original, so the device is still the original.

Here's the memo: $35.31 OEM Aqua V2 RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - stainless steel / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Just got back from Post Office, sending VV Grand in for repairs. Then I got the PM I've been waiting for "on it's way" !

Fret not. This should be headed your way in a couple hours. All cleaned up and ready to go. :)

Coil winding info/tips for size....

... most of those here probably already know the following but it can't hurt to repeat it for those new to it that may drop by.

I don't think it's rocket science stuff on which size coil you use so exact sizes don't matter... But having a chart to see their equivalent sizes may be handy. This way, you can select from your available rods, drill bits or similar things to wrap with.

It appears to me, in the few threads I visit.... that the two most common size's of coils used are around the 1.5mm and 2mm sizes. In imperial sizing... the closest equivalants are 1/16" and 5/64... I'll add another just to go up one size that I suspect some others may use and is almost 2.5mm... 3/32".

A quick conversion table with fractional, decimal ( inch ) and finally metric

1/6" = .0625" = 1.5875mm
5/64" = .078125" = 1.984375mm
3/32" = .09375" = 2.38125mm

On further thought... many of us also use blunt tip needles to wrap with... in fact, I prefer them over a drill bit or just a rod. So here is a chart for some of the common sizes... guage to metric mm

14g = 1.6277mm
12g = 2.0525mm
10g = 2.5882mm

There are several coil wrapping jigs available now... some are imperial, some metric... so those should help with any coil calculator you choose to use so you can estimate your final resistances. This is currently my favorite online coil calculator Coil Toy - Online calculator for e-cigarette resistance coil building

I've also recently picked up a new coil mandrel ( jig ) that is simple and contains several sizes ( 5 sizes from 1.5mm up to 3.5mm ) all in one piece. Another nice feature, it's cheap at just under $3 USD .... I've also seen it listed at a US reseller but can't find where I saw it... so this is a FastTech link which is where I found it first. Total length is about 4" or 10cm long and it fits nicely in the hand. Each step down also makes a nice place to start your coil against.

    There was a raging debate going on over the certification card . No card = not authentic but the card's not worth $115 to me .

    Stupid question for the day ; What is a Kick, and what purpose does it serve ?
    The reason for this stupid question ; If the Chip inside my VV Grand is toast, Rob can convert a VV Grand into a full Mechanical Another Reonaut (not Rob) has stated that a converted VVGrand into a Full Mech would require a 18650 and a spacer, or an 18650 and a Kick...

    so what's a 'Kick'....

    That looks like an awesome tool for building coils. I wish you had posted this yesterday before I placed my order with FT (it already shipped).

    ... but... but.. but... I hadn't tried it yet yesterday... :D

    Actually I had about 9pm or so. The conversation just didn't seem to fit as much after I had built with it... Today's conversation with someone newer coming into building etc, seemed to work better. I'm uncertain if my desire to stay on topic is more attributed to me being an introvert or because I'm OCD... :D

    It's an add-on circuit for mech mods to switch them to a regulated VW device. Evolve made the first ones, then Crown and Smoktek came out with some and now there are also other Chinese knock offs. They provide a regulated 5-15w of output with a 6a limit. They need about 20mm of space and must be placed on top of the battery. They also require that the inside battery tube is conductive in order to work.
