Livin' lean. I like it!
I'm calling it downsizing..man my house in Monroe sold really quick and I broke even..You would not believe how much pressure is off of me now..I doubt I'll ever go through that home buying thing again..I'm way too old..Let someone else fix the crap that breaks down lol
I know if I had a wife and kids and was a young man again I wouldn't think like this..but hell I'm to old to worry about stuff anymore..Time to live worry free for my remaining years on this earth. Fishing and road tripping,..may even find that GF out there that loves to fish and try different things..They say as you get older you get set in your ways..NOT ME! Hell I'm ready for adventure again. :p

I know one thing..I'll never become this guy..and if I ever did,..I'd just as soon just leave this world.

Old man sleepin' the hot day away,
while he dreams a thousand yesterdays.
'Cause he's had so many come his way.
All he cares about is somewhere to lay his head tomorrow.

Old man sits and thinks about his home.
Doesn't matter 'cause he's all alone.
What he'd give to get back on his own.
Curses his body 'cause it's old and it gives no transportation.
He sits in his one room shack alone but it provides no consolation.

What a shame,
his time is nearin'.
His eyes won't let him see
the skies are clearin'.
Someone tells him
without his hearin'.
It's no news to those who've been around
while things are changin'.

Yes, I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head, my friend. I get vaper's tongue way too easily. I have to have flavor changes, but not as much, as I did initially. The Reo is just so freaking awesome though. This one was given to me. But I have been saving for one. I am so tempted to just say to heck with it, and get one. I even have told myself that I wanted a Woodvil. But then I saw the price change, and my heart sunk.

Retic, you have to try one of these things. It is a mech with a dripper taste, but no constant dripping. The best of both worlds. It doesn't leak, well if you do it right it won't... I am sure some attys leak. If you over squonk it will leak. The thing I am concerned about is the heat. I am afraid to leave my Reo out in the vehicle, say at a store parking lot. I always crack the windows so I don't croak, when I get back in the truck. The heat may make it leak, I'm not sure. It hasn't leaked in the truck so far.

I bought two reducer tubes, which are tiny. You put one on the end of the regular feed tube. You also put a v in the end, so it won't pull a suction off the bottom, as that can leak. The reducer tubes will help it from leaking in very hot temps. Most people probably don't need them. But as you know, it gets hot as Hades down this way. Anyway, I prefer the 18650 size. It has a 6ml bottle. I never let the bottle get too low. It is easier to squonk, if the bottle is pretty full. After you have a new bottle, the squonking gets easier, because the bottle gives some, requiring less pushing with your finger, to feed the atty.

At first I thought it was going to be too hard for my arthritis. But I try to change the finger I push the bottle with too. After 2-3 weeks, the bottle is much easier to push. I guess you could say it is softer. I also have found that since I've been using the mechs, I have been changing the batteries out by 3.8-3.9 volts. LOL. I think I prefer it 3.9-4 volts...which I usually vape right there on a regulated device. I rarely if ever vape below 3.8 volts anymore. I did try sub ohm vaping. It wasn't for me. Which I am kind of glad about that. I like 1.0-1.3 ohms the best. 1.1-1.2 is ideal.
KK , I've been wanting a REO to play with but right now , for me , that's all I would be doing with it . Unless and until I find an RDA that delivers the intensity of flavor that the Rose delivers . I've gone through a ton of builds in all my atty's and everything else comes up lacking in comparison to it right now . So the hunt for the perfect RDA shall continue . :)

And the atty has more to do with flavor than the device powering it....as long as it has capability.

Yup , the atty and build are second only to the juice used , I'm quite happy with the setup I use now . Everything else is just gravy .

Looks like most of us have found perfect little setups for ourselves!

My Achilles is [HASHTAG]#247[/HASHTAG]. I don't think I got the last one, but probably close to it. Can't wait for @Bronze to get his!
I fully expect it to give me at least as good flavor as the Veritas plus additional capacity. The Veritas is pretty leak proof so I'm not expecting any improvement there. And I think I might like the screw on instead of the press on. Not sure yet.

Seems like a good combination , I like the Magma for the screw on top and no o-rings , I like the Veritas because I can lay it down without having to close the AFC , seems the Achilles is split midway between them .

I actually expect you to not like it. Not sure why, but that's my instinct.
I know I will like it. It's a direct to coil air flow and leakproof. Those are the most important things to me. Add that it has more capacity and that's a bonus...maybe the screw on too like Retic alludes.

I de-crapped my friend..I still had things in storage at my BIL's home where I am at now..I needed new stuff anyway so this weekend all but my shop tools and Kennedy tool chest and roll around..fishing gear and a few other personal items will still fit into the smallest of U-Haul trucks..I won't need one of those as my nieces BF has a small trailer I can pull behind my truck this time..hehe
Good luck with the move Sirius. One day I hope to be living lean like that. This place gets to be too much sometimes.

More truth has never been spoken..I still favor the Atomic single coiled (RM4 EHPro cloned and converted to BF) over any of the other BF attys I've tried..Lot's cheaper as well..I was looking into getting Catfish a shot at converting an authentic and all this moving stuff came along..lol :p

Yes I have been thinking all day this very thought..I've found the mod I like..the atty,..juices,..why do I even bother with ECF when sometimes I get discouraged with some of the attitudes on here?!?
Y'all keep me coming back..I have grown fond of many here and on other threads as well. :)

I have to add that even though many ask questions on the New Members Forum and I really like helping them out,..here lately a lot of the advice I have been giving I've seen being totally ignored I see some of these new members later posts..I want to shake them and say,.."See,..I tried to warn you but you wouldn't listen"!

I might get one of those in the future. (not anytime soon) I got the Rogue first, thinking I'd love it. I didn't love it. It's okay. I tried different builds. It just didn't do it for me, at the ohms I use. Maybe if I had lower builds, it would have been incredible. The vapor was good. The flavor just wasn't there for me. I like the top air, and leak proof design. Looks good. Just didn't taste awesome. So then I got the used Quasar. Now I really love it. You can see where to put the cap down, with the air slot. You can only guess with the Rogue, and I never liked that. I love my regular Derringer...so when I saw a place had bottom fed Derringer clones...at a good price, I had to jump on it. 17 bucks. Heck yes. Always need a back up. I may keep the Rogue for a road trip atty. Or I may just sell it. Catfish Atty Mods did a great job on the feeding part of it. I am thrilled with his work. I won't hesitate to buy from him again.

Hey Kay,..So glad you like the Derringer..I found it too small for me to build in..See with the RM4 there is plenty of room for even dual coils,..but small enough to be a flavor producer..Works so well with twisted 28ga and even 26ga. I use rayon now opposed to cotton because I actually listened to the more experienced RDA builders and tried it..It's all trial and error my friend. You just have to find your niche and that can take awhile..It can also be quite expensive as well. ;)
