Well I am a huge hockey fan and after watching the Flyers loss to the Pens last night I'm a little bummed out. Let me add...I really HATE shoot outs....

I'm sure there are Pens fans that would like to rub it in (that's fine with me) because if it was the other way around I'd be doing the same

Any hockey talk is appreciated here though....

Unfortunately most of our bruisers were way to quiet last night. It's not a good night when I see more of Carcillo's puck handeling than his checks. No brawls and lackluster play from the Fly guys....minus the goalie BOBS had a great game....which is really why I hate shootouts. He got a L and played 65 minutes of good hockey. ugh...you are right about 2-1 though....

OMG, did we (Habs Fan here) get our butts kicked last night...7-0 in Boston.

I so long for the days when the Habs ruled hockey...being born and raised in Montreal, I witnessed first hand 6 Stanley Cup parades, I was totally spoiled....me thinks those days are long gone.

My crystal ball tells me Caps vs Sharks final....my two wildcard teams, NYRangers & Nashville Preds.

Any thoughts???

I am wearing a Washington Capitals T shirt today and it says established 1974. We have never seen a Stanley Cup. Hoping for this year, but I really thought last year was going to be it. Lost to Montreal in the first round. Unbelievable

By the way...I successfully stealth vaped at the Verizon Center a couple weeks ago! Too bad it was a 6-0 loss to the Rangers. My daughter was very upset since she bought me the tickets as a Christmas gift!

How serious is Ovechkin's injury? The last I heard, they wouldn't say what it was.

they are not saying, the last interview I heard, the reporters were asking what is the injury and he said "guess" and then laughed. I think it is just some minor aches and pains, and they were looking for a stretch of games that would be best for him to miss so he can come back stronger for the playoff push. He should be back next week.

Sorry to hear that vipod....I guess I should be thankful we lost 2 to 1 in overtime ...although we lost a game 6-0 this year too and i remember how that sucked...

Nah lol. At the pick up games, it's just the players. My wife is 8 months pregnant, so 8:00 is to late for her to be out and about.

Thanks. Maybe after the baby is born and things settle down a bit, they will be able to make it out. I've only been playing for a couple of months, and now I'm addicted lol. This was my 6yr olds first year of hockey, and I enjoyed watching him so much, I had to get in on the action. It's the hardest sport I've ever tried lol.

We will be, as long as we get in from dinner early enough. Got some family coming in. My 6 year old is addicted to hockey lol.

That's awesome uba....I play volleyball and wish my parents had gotten me started earlier. I love playing and have gotten quite good over the years (don't get me wrong...you won't see me on tv anytime soon ) but it's awesome if your kids love it. Especially since you're into it now

My dad used to watch hockey, baseball, basketball, and football. He's not so into it all now and it's kind of sad.
