By the way... when you heat VG it becomes much more viscous. Getting flavor to mix and disperse is much easier. And I mean constant heat. Not dropping bottles in a cup of hot water. 125° steady for at least three hours.
Hi buffaloguy.

You mean VG becomes less viscous with heat.

I wanted to point out a difference between high Vg mixes and all Vg mixes. Please note that the ones you are making contain some PG and all vg with alcohol flavorings would have no PG. PG is a flavor disperser, so without it many non water soluble flavors suspended in an alcohol base won't disperse. That is why pg is so commonly used in the food industry, just a little PG may solve the problems for the guy with 25% flavor and no taste in his juice. He may even have better luck with the gourmet line, since it is PG based instead of alcohol. I personally think if I taste .. (like stick my finger in and taste) PG vs VG I would agree with you. VG is sweeter to taste (not vape) it is a glycerin so it is a sugar. Glycol is an alcohol, to taste like to drink it is bitter like alcohol. To vape almost the opposite. PG has a sweeter vape to me, and VG does mute the flavor and has a funky after taste to me. I have tasted them both and I have vaped them both at 100% no flavoring. Taste is subjective, but it is a well understood fact the PG is a flavor enhancer.

More/less ... meaning was it becomes more fluid when heated... Sorry for the confusion.

I make all kinds of juices. 100% VG as well as blends with just alc based flavorings, pg & alc based flavoring, etc.

You are incorrect tho in stating that flavorings suspended in alcohol will not disperse into VG. (I think this is what you are saying) PG is not at all necessary. Now I do use quite a bit of distilled water in many of my juices because VG is so thick and THAT will allow flavor dispersal, sans any pg being used. However, with that said, I also have juices that have 0% distilled water and ALL alc based flavorings mixed (80%VG/20%several alc flavorings) that are just fine. No separation issues or anything of the sort.

Im not sure why you think VG cant carry flavor as well as PG. Its a myth. Anyone who mixes all or high VG will tell you so. Yeah PG carries flavor slightly easier/better, but the amount of additional flavoring used in VG vs PG to achieve the SAME result of flavor intensity is miniscule at best, even when scaled up to larger batches. VG does just fine carrying flavor, and I have over a year and a half of mixing with VG that proves it out.

I know that oil based flavors require alc to break down but once that is added they can be used in VG or PG easily. I have to break down tobacco absolute pure into alcohol. Once done I can put it in VG directly, no separation, no issues. Now some VG has a tiny bit of water added in manufacturing so maybe that is at play too. TA pure will also mix just as easily into PG via the same route.

And before you go on about how I have no experience with PG or alc, I work with that also doing extractions and for making juices for other people who prefer PG and/or pga in their juices. Im quite seneitive to PG hence why I use mainly VG.

Now flavorings with Triacetin in them are a different story. For example, tpa root beer will separate in an all vg/distilled water mix. But all you have to do is shake it up a bit before vaping and its fine.

Im not sure why you think VG cant incorporate alc based flavorings of that is what you are saying?

Oh lawd. The VG vs PG debate again.

Somewhere (I think it was Buffaloguy but on a different thread) someone stated that it can take up to a week for flavors to pull through when using all VG. That's definitely another issue I wasn't thinking about when trying to use VG solely. I tested the flavors right away. They were fruits, so I figured it wouldn't need steeping. Oops

Yeah, I know... oh lawd lol! No debate Rin. You can take what im sayin to the bank.

Everything requires time tho... vg/pg, doesnt matter in that regard. Especially with tobaccos.

The SC fruits tho for me are usually ready after a three hour heat steeping and peak in flavor at about three days. Now most of my sc fruits are very simple mixes with 80%vg, 3%-3.5% flavoring, and the rest being distilled water. No lemon juice or vinegar. Now, I will say my results vary based on the sc fruit flavoring itself. Some are better than others. Im speaking of VZ super concentrates here specifically.

Apricot is wonderful. Cherry, pear, and peach just dont shine at full flavor

Since this is the place to talk about Super Concentrates i figured i would continue here....

I just had one question.... I am a new to DIY Mixing and according to a friend they told me that Alcohol based concentrates are really bad for you..... mind you this is purely speculation I have no idea if he's telling the truth or where he gets his information from but I have a thread which lead me to Vaping Zone's "Super Concentrates" which are alcohol based.

Based on the reviews they seem to be awesome but is the "Alcohol" a big factor in a negative way? Would love to hear someones insight and knowledge on this.

After you mix your Juice leave the cap off overnight so the Alcohol can evaporate.

ok...... correct me if im wrong here.... If i get let's say blackberry super concentrate.... it ships to me and yea im going to mix it into either a 5ML or a 10ML bottle with my VG.PG.NICOTINE and shake it up i guess. How long would you say is a good amount of time uncapped - a night you say?

I only ask because I was seriously considering ordering my flavors through Hangsen because I am hearing good things but these Super Concentrates based on the reviews im seeing seem to be pretty awesome

To my knowledge there is nothing wrong with the alcohol used in vaping concentrates. Sure some forms of alcohol are indeed bad for you. Dont vape ispropyl alcohol for example but thats not what concentrates are made from.

With the low percentages of flavoring used in the superconcentrates there is a minimal amount of alcohol in the finished juice.

They are absolutely fine to vape immediately. Theres nothing wrong with doing that. It just might not be at its peak for some time yet. All juices need time to mature and bloom.

Egolife your friend is somewhat incorrect. And I only say somewhat because its the types of alcohol that may be bad and we dont use those types in vaping. He needs to do some more research on the topic and get a more educated perspective.

Is it true that VZ super concentrates have been discontinued?

Negative they are still there..... DIY-Flavoring-Alcohol Base | E Liquid Flavoring-Alcohol Base - E Cig : Best Ejuice | Joye eGo & eGo-T | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

I dont see why they would ever not sell them, they have amazing reviews on a lot of their flavors.

Now ~ Can anyone tell me if i should get sweetener? I have already received my flavors, the base, bottles, bought some gloves, syringes, etc... I will test a 5ML tomorrow but just wondering if i should buy the sweetener since they are the super concentrated flavors thanks.

cool thanks I am placing my 1st concentrated flavors right now. I was wondering since I am purchasing mostly Super Concentrated flavors do they need to have any sweetener added to them? I was reading on some forums and a lot of people are posting that they use Sucralose

JMO but the super concentrates fruits and such are pretty sweet on their own---no sweetener needed.

I think you'll like the Super Concentrates. They are pretty accurate on the percentages they list and they usually have those amounts right on the bottle so you don't forget. My dad has tried over 50 different e-liquids (some DIY, some vendor) and out of ALL of them, the only one he was impressed with and said he could see himself vaping was the Parliament flavor from that line.
