It's not really a deep black, its gun metal but looks black most of the time. I get some blue tints to it also at times depending on the lighting.

Thanks!

Would you know if this is normal?
I have just received my ZNA dna 30 unit as this being my first dna I what to know if what it is doing is normal. If I let the unit set after the 2 minute time to let the screen go dark and go back and fire the unit, I get the ZEN ZNA SS# display. Then it proceeds to fire normal. This happens every time. I thought this was only to happen when you installed the battery.

That's normal, I just did it with mine, it's only flashed the SS# screen for a second.

FYI- just spoke with Mike and he said fully adjustable 510 caps are about six weeks away, price ~$12. That is going to be great....

So now that my unit is a week old I have to buy something to make the bad designed ZNA better for $12.00 and anyone who buys one after 6 weeks gets it free. I thought Zen was better than that!! Even the battery cap leaves a gap, again poor design. Look at what SvoëMesto did with the Semovar! Now that is a good designed battery cap, you can adjust it for any deficiencies in battery size.

Well, im not sure you can say "bad designed ZNA". You knew it didnt have an adjustable cap when you bought it. And not all atty's have the same 510 threading or post length... so you knew that it wouldnt fit all atomizers.

That said, $12 is not a bad price, considering a lot of the VV/VW mods out there (including the very popular Hana V3) DONT have adjustable pins either. At least Zen is offering a solution.

I spoke with mike 2 weeks ago, it was 6 weeks then as well....lol. I think the 12 dollar price is for a retrofit of your existing cap that will require pressing something in with a vice. The price of a whole new cap will be like 25-35 bucks, don't recall the exact price.

Not trying to start an argument. I give the provari a little leeway as it is an old design and the only update it has had is the board and a paint job. I think that if they are going to include the adjustable 510 on future models and don't increase the price, the should offer the ability to send in our caps for a new one for free. I think as a previous poster said, the semovar is a great design... something they should have looked at simulating on the ZNA.

I have 2 ZNAs. I have used both with the original 18490 tubes and two different 18650 tubes. Neither have a gap at the battery cap end. I did hear it can happen with an 18500 battery.... but both mine seem fine.

Mine is on it's way - should be here by the end of the week, and I'm really excited to get it, but still ..... things are really adding up:

- it's hard to get
- it's expensive
- no adjustable centre pin so it may not flush-fit with some of the most popular tanks (and less popular ones too)
- a fix is coming .... but more waiting ......... more money
- some batteries don't fit well

Clearly I've accepted all that but it doesn't stop there:

- even extra tubes are not available (come on now) .... but they're coming ..... and will also be hard to get (nooooo, no more F5ing ...... please ......)
..... and how many more?

When do you take some of the "it was your choice to buy it" off the consumer, who has a right to reasonable expectations for the price, and put some better placed accountability on the manufacturer? Just my opinion - of course.

It's amazing how patient we vapers are. ;)

I have had mine for about a week, slight adjustment to the pin and my kayfun clones sit flush and no gap with the top cap. I have not used any other mods since my zna arrived. The only downside for me is that now I need to get a couple ofRussians, it is a sexy piece with the Russian on top.
