Looking for suggestions on good batteries for the Zna that will work , I have some AW 18490's that I'm using right now and at anything above 13 watts with a 1.5 ohm micro coil I get like maybe 20 min hard vaping and the battery tested when the ZNA is telling me it's low measures at around 3.70 volts . I want a 18650 tube and was wondering if the Orbtronic batteries will work in this ?

That's weird I drip at home and vape kinda hard at 17 watts and I get way more than 20 min. Are you using old or new aw's? Also just for asking sake did you get them from a reputable vendor?

Somethings up w/ your battery... I put a new AW 18490 in at 7am, have been vaping a 0.9ohm dual coil at 16W for the last 4 hrs, and its got 50% left.

Can you vape well at 20+ watts with a standard ~2 ohm coil, or are you pretty much required to build sub-ohm coils to get the most out of these devices?

2.0 ohm vertical coil with hemp fiber at 18watts and its rocking. I dont see the need for sub ohm with something that can push 30watts. The bigger your coil the more surface area your wicking material can cover and therefor more vape. IMO anyway...but i am sure others will tell you different.

Huh, okay. I was thinking it might be too much wattage for your typical, pre-built coil (that's what I'll be using if I ever do buy a 20/30watt device). Dry hits and such.

Ya I got the batteries from a reputable vendor Super T , and they aren't more than 1 year old , I should try some newer batteries but all I have for brand new are EH IMR 18500 flat tops and those aren't supposed to work in the zna

So after spending a week or so with my ZNA i think i have decided that i am going to keep it and sell off my Hana mini v3. As much as i love the Hana really the only thing that the ZNA has over the Hana mini ( for me anyways ) is when the battery is low, I can just pop a new one in and good to go.

Now trying to hunt down a 18650 tube for the ZNA seems just as hard as getting a ZNA, lol.. I can't believe there isn't a massive stock of 18650 tubes?

I like it in 18490 don't get me wrong but much prefer 18650 with a DNA.

Also can't wait for either the adjustable top caps that Zen is putting out or the Hybrid adapter for the ZNA from fusionMods. Pretty much whichever comes first is the one i plan on getting.

Im just going to go to hardware store and get an identical brass screw and file it down. Should be no problem. Ill keep ya guys posted how it goes.

Did you try backing out the hex screw on the bottom of the removeable 510 cap? That was enough for the gap i had.

Yea and that did work but I though it might wear on that plate or spring. IDK maybe i'm being to cautious, any wear n tear on yours from unscrewing it a little?

Also this thing is small. Its also pretty heavy but in a good way. That was my first impression though, was "wow that things tiny". I'm absolutely in love with this little guy. Just cant believe 30 watts can come out of something sooo small. Not to sound greedy but I need to get another one now because my gf won't put it down lol.

So - can I eat a little crow?

I know I was concerned about some of the challenges with the ZNA and I know some still are but ....

Mine arrived a little while ago and it's perfect. I was mostly worried about the 6+ weeks wait for a KFL friendly connector (they're all I use now) but the centre pin adjusted enough for a flush fit and I'm really happy. :)

I asked Zen/Mike this exact question. He said its fine, go ahead and back out the screw. Worst that can happen is you start to have a gap below the 510 ring if you adjust it too far.

Nice. Just unscrewed mine a little and everything sits flush on it now. That was my only complaint with the device and not even really a complaint because i could have lived with it.

Wish there was a thanks or +1 button *AHEM*Mods*
