What am I supposed to do with all the lighters I have now? seriously if you haven't smoked In a while what happened to your Lighters?

I use them to light my butane torch for preheating my kanthal wire (it coils easier) and for "cleaning" silica wick for rebuildables

2 in my car, 2 in my uniform and probably a 7/11's inventories worth lost in my apt.

Keep a couple handy for lighting a torch and burning juice on the end of SS wicks.

Threw them all in the kitchen junk drawer. I could probably cook a full Thanksgiving dinner with all that butane .

But yeah. I have a box full of lighters too (easily 30 or 40) plus a bag of rolling papers(from RYO tobacco while using tubes).

Thanks for reminding me about this, got a kitchen junk drawer full of nearly-spent lighters ...

I always hesitated to just toss them in the trash. Maybe I'll put them all in a milk jug and fill it with water, then t the Dumpster ?

Anyone know of a safer way to discard old butane lighters ?

Actually my lighter got an upgrade too! Now using the Ronson Butane torch for all my building needs. Works great and can solder with it too. Great for all fire starting needs also.

I do a lot of electrical repairs and got so used to always having a lighter in my pocket for the heat shrink tubing. it came to me on a job site that i needed to check in my tools to make sure i had one because i didn't carry one daily anymore. on the bright side i have a long time supply

Well, you can give them away to analog smokers and tell them why you dont need them anymore. Possibly convert them to vaping.
