Okay, in case anyone looks for this info, here's the end of the story. After changing out attys, I stopped having that terrible feeling. I figured it couldn't be specifically the atty though, but that it must have been gummed up so to speak and I was just vaping some nasty stuff - what exactly I don't know. So instead of throwing out the atty, I cleaned it, even though it had only been used for 8 days. After reading a lot, I wasn't sure I trusted anything other than burning it off. So I connected it to a manual battery with no cart and would hold the button until the safety kicked on. I did this about 8 times. It smoked a lot and smelled terrible. After that I thought I ruined it, but at that point I didn't care anyway (I was using this atty as a test, prepared to throw it away). Anyway, I thought I ruined it because I couldn't get it to vape after even though it would obviously light up when the button was pushed. Then it hit me that it wasn't primed, or dry so to speak. So I dropped 3 or 4 drops of juice on it and what do you know, I have a good atty again that doesn't taste like crap or make me feel weird.
By the way, I had written Tony about a bad atty my wife had that wouldn't vape any more. Well this test gave me the idea to burn it off, only twice, and drop juice in to prime it, and now its as good as new. I've only been doing this for 13 days so I'm still learning and have a lot more to learn but all in all, we love it. After 21 years my wife and I have been free of smoking since the day our Sidesho kits arrived in the mail.
