I have a 901 and I got this from walmart, $16.88 online. At first I was using it as a/c power but discovered if I push the button (to see how much batt life was left) it would boost power to my pt on the go.

music POWER Encore by PowerLIne model 0900-72 (i cant post a link yet)

Pushing the button is a bit of a hassle, but I have used this on the go where no power was available for up to 8 hours. It charges really fast and a replaceable 3.7 lithium batt.

In the store it is $39.99, but they will ship to store for free, I am ordering another one for my hubby.

I think they both have their good qualities. If you have new freshly charged batteries, bottomline, "you can't beat the Prodigy". However, that can be costly in the loooooong run. It is also more convenient to vape with the Prodigy verses the passthru. I am constanty moving about, and dealing with the cord on passthru is 'IN'-convenient for me.

They are both AWESOME nicotine delivery devices.

Having said that, I am still going to be using the pass-thru more often around the house, because of long-term battery requirements. I want to make this 'vice' as least costly as possible. I want to enjoy the nicotine, and also see vast improvements on where I'm saving money.

Hi Jennifer

Thanks for the comparison

So leaving the aside the convenience of no wire on the Prodigy.

What your saying is the prodigy is better than the PS Passtru, but only when the batteries are freshly charged. Is it a huge difference or only slight. How long does the better perfomance last for before it drops down, and are you using the same attomisers on both and are you using your PS Passthru on a high amp AC USB hub.

Very interesting, still not sure its worth getting a Prodigy as I do most of my vaping either in front on my PC or TV and probably would not take a Prodigy out of the house as I dont like being consipcuous when Im vaping in public, especially down the pub.

=.

IMHO Put them both on a scale of 1-10, Prodigy 9, and PT 8. If you have new charged batteries, it's good for about 4 hours depending on how you vape. I don't put mine down. Yes, same atomizer. I bought the 5 volt deal for $1.95, that was mentioned earlier in this thread.

As far as the scale, I would like to mention I have only one other PCC, and I would rate it a 2. PURESMOKER is the BOMB, when it comes to vaping.

I might have found the winner here. And I guarantee you, you will not find a cheaper one on the market. Its a small AC to USB 2amp max port. Here's the link:

USB Dual Power Adapter

$1.95 for the unit and $1.95 for the shipping(order as many as you'd like)

I just got it yesterday and it works great(better then my Kensington). The only problem I can see is the shipping took a little longer then I like(about 8 days), but the guy is super easy to get ahold of(his name is Steve) and he says he will make sure the shipping improves. Mention your buying this from the e-cig forum and he'll make sure you get it quickly. He also states he has alot left in stock. They are not made cheaply either. You'll be suprised at the packaging when you receive it.

Damn. DAMN. I finally ordered one of these (haven't been keeping up here!) and it arrived today.

Now I FINALLY KNOW why people love their PTs so much. This is better than my Prodigy with a brand-new atty and fresh batteries. I'm going through tons of juice (good thing I'm down to virtually zero nic) and I'm tethered to a wall, but the flavor and power are un-be-LIEV-able. To think this PT had been gathering dust since I bought it in August and I was figuring I should sell it!

Unfortunately, their website appears so fouled up in both Firefox and IE that I can't figure out how to go back and order a bunch more for spares (crazy not to, at that price!) There's no spot I can see for adjusting quantity. (And the package arrived with 34 cents postage due -- I'm surprised they didn't send it back to the supplier, LOL.) I'm gonna have to write the guy and find out how to order multiples.

But this thing is a MOTHER. Markarich, thank you so much for finding it and turning us on to it!

Yes, this thing is great! Thanks a ton markarich159 :thumb:

Shan123 - if you hit ctrl++ and blow up the page you'll see there IS no place to enter a quantity. Weird. I didn't get a shipping confirmation so I emailed tas.electronics@hotmal.com and the email bounced. It arrived today before I tried calling so I don't know if the phone number is good either. But I ordered it Sunday and got it today so...um...weird huh?

And yeah, I wish I had bought 3.

What atty are you using on the passthrough? My 510s get burnt tasting quick - trying a 901 now.

Dunno if this'll help, but there's a typo in your email addy there: the "i" is missing from your "hotmail". tas.electronics@hotmail.com works for me.

I just heard from them the other day after writing to track my order. Stephen got back to me very quickly, and I got my adapter today. After discovering how amazing it is, I wanted to order more, couldn't, and just finished writing Stephen back to ask how to do it. When I find out I'll post here (unless one of these other in-house geniuses knows).

I'm using 510 attys -- I think this is specifically a 510 PT and didn't know other attys might work with it. Finding I have to top off REAL often because the PT is so flippin' powerful with this adapter, you go through juice like mad and it does taste dry/burnt fast. I wish Steve would focus his considerable brainpower on that liquid delivery attachment we all crave -- if anybody can solve that problem, it's him. (So what if the final product looks like a Super-Soaker?)

I'm just bowled right over by this. Already found and bought a car adapter somebody recommended in another thread, and I'm thinking a PT for the car and another for the office might be justifiable. Right now, honestly, I can't believe I ever smoked cigarettes at all, let alone a pack a day. If smoking had been this good I NEVER could have quit.

Yeah, hotmal.com wouldn't work too well!

Add that to the list of problems with their web site. If you click on Contact Us and then just click on the email address instead of copying and pasting it, Outlook will create a new message for you like it's supposed to with the wrong address. Somebody misspelled a a little code ;)

Mine is also *specifically* a 510 PT, I was just using an adapter to use the 901 with it. No joy. Keeping it wet to the point of flooding and still get the burnt taste after a few minutes. yuck!

Wish I had an 801 adapter to try it with, it really does put out the vapor and flavor - until it puts out the BAD flavor. Hm...

Oh, my duh -- there are adapters, and then there are adapters, I wasn't thinking about the PT adapters! I was wondering if an 801 would work better... never used a penstyle but have always heard that the penstyle carts hold considerably more liquid. (I can't quite imagine dripping/tailpiping with this PT, the atty seems to get pretty warm.)

Not sure what's happening with yours. I notice a slight difference in taste (but no really bad burn) and top off... very frequently... and no problems. When I first notice that difference, the core material of the cart looks DRY. Both the liquids I use now are dark brown and the core looks almost whitish, like the PT's sucked every molecule of the liquid out. I'm topping off a lot, usually takes 5-6 drops to get a slight dome of liquid, but haven't flooded yet (and I'm notorious for flooding my PVs). Could it be something about your liquid that tastes burned under high heat faster? I dunno, a heavier-on-the-VG formula, a particular flavoring, or something? (Yes, that is an extremely wild guess.)

Yeah, I agree, these adapters are great for the price. I think the reason Steve does it this way(having to order 1 at a time) is that #1. he is not very savvy when it comes to creating his webpage.
#2. It ensures that he gets a seperate shipping charge for each unit(but at 1.95 for shipping, I really don't care).
All I did was order several times individually over the course of a few days. However, I have heard from others that he WILL ship out multiple units for you if you can get ahold of him(and his ph# is included in your paypal receipt-and he will return your call).
