I am leaning toward the knight v2 ..... just because of fire button placement.

Knight v1 every day device with zero issues

MGM, I don't believe you own an authentic Xvo, and I'm not sure if @pokemom owns a Knight.

Is there someone out there who owns both? I'm wondering about the vape quality comparison between the two.

I ask because I've noticed a definitive difference between some of the better chips from some of the cheaper ones I own. The Rollo, for example, is a mod that I REALLY LIKE (design wise), but I find myself using less and less because I simply aren't getting the same vape quality on them as I do with my Evolv or Yihi chipped mods.

The cheaper ones are much more harsh, and a bit choppy (when compared). Which kinda bites because I love the look and feel of some of the cheaper ones. :-(

Anyone own both who cares to lend an opinion? It may influence my purchasing decisions coming up soon.

Thanks, in advance. :)

I own both. The difference is night and day. The XVO schtick is a very smooth vape. I don't feel any voltage drop if my battery is running low, there are no "jumps or spikes" as I vape. I don't use nickel so I haven't used the schtick in TC. The knight is a heavy sucker. On top of that you can feel your battery drain, even though it is supposedly a regulated device. My vape experience completely changes once my battery is less than half full, I feel the need to up the wattage just to get the same vape that I was getting at when the battery was fresh. I also get sudden "shut offs" out of the blue. Again, I haven't used the TC on the knight, but I have heard that it is not good.

Granted, my experience with the Knight was FAR better than my experience with the schtick clown. That was just a nightmare, and it was too frustrating to vape.

Thank you!!! That was my fear, so I'm going to scrap the idea of saving a few bucks, and wait for the silver Nano.

I'm glad to hear that it was better than the X-Clown, because I found that to be unvapeable too (as you know). How's the new & improved baby working out though? Is it perfect?

I hope so. :)

I should point out here though, that one inexpensive chip that DOES measure up are the Innokin ones (for me). So if I'm looking to save, I'll like limit my options to Innokin, as I find the vape from them to also be quite extraordinary.

Again though, just one man's opinion. Take it as you may.

Ugh!!! Be careful when dealing with friends. He still hasn't sent it even though he said he would a couple of weeks ago. So, I don't know. I can't imagine that it wouldn't work well. It is not the same material as the original, but now it has the same innards.

Anyway, here's hope that it comes soon. Then maybe all of these new side by sides won't look so interesting. [emoji57]

BTW, in fairness to the knight and Tesla, I do prefer the "cage" they have to the schtick. With the opening around the AFC, it is much easier for me to determine if my atty is leaking then it is on the schtick. (Because of course, with my life taking an atty off of a mod after use is too much to be expected on a regular basis).

So you like the CF IV 18650?

I still like my rolos. It might just be the form factor, but I do enjoy using them. It is NOT the same as the xvo, but I find I prefer the vape on them to the pico or the other istick products.

But the seatbelt is SEXY! ;)

I like the CF 18650 but aren't crazy about the half-battery life thing. That's a loss for me. I actually prefer my original CFIV the best, and the TC100 is a good vape (not crazy about the shape, LOVE the black & white color).

I LOVE THOSE SILLY ROLLOS!!! I find them best with either a Nauti or BVC coil though. With anything RBA I can REALLY notice the difference in vape quality. I was using them with the Wines, which are about my favorite RBA (flavor & impact), and when I moved those to other mods I heard angels singing.

I think.

SERIOUSLY bumming at this. :-(

And I didn't realize they were different materials. My clown wasn't in my hands for very long.

I own a clone Xvo (but I was one of the lucky ones, remember), and a Knight V1, and a DNA40 (just not a Xvo).

Further, I am a heavy TC vaper. Hmmm... I'm not heavy, but my use of TC is. I have gone a little soft around the middle. Could use to to lose a few pounds... but I digress...

The DNA40 is better than either the clone Xvo or Knight in TC mode. However, the clone Xvo and DNA40 ONLY do TC in Ni200. I do not mind Ni200, but prefer SS. When built properly, all three will provide an acceptable vape. The issue, as I see it (and, again, I was one of the lucky ones with the clone Xvo) is cost. I can justify $50 for the Knight (or 3 Knights), but I have a hard time justifying $150 for one authentic Xvo.

The Xvo is fitted with a KFL, the Knight has the Talos that came with it, and the DNA40 is paired with a Bachelor Nano. All are running single coil builds.

I have had my Xvo clone for a year now. Still works well. Using it now with a Nebula Wine. Definitely worth the money that I paid.

I also have found that I can use a Cuboid 150 silicone sleeve on it. Stretches nicely over the Xvo. Just had to be gentle cutting off all the excess. I like the grip the silicone sleeves give you.

Okay, my thoughts now [emoji88]. Own a stick, knight V1, and stick clone. Let me start by saying stick clone sucks flank meat and I won't mention it again. Now the Stick vs KV1 is still no contest. Stick hands down...BUT all of my issues with the KV1 have been addressed in the V2. Once it gets here I may change my mind, and woe upon Chel and family if they missed the chance to get another run of Sticks out only to have a Chinese company snap up the market!

Thanks, Jim.

What I'm mainly interested in is the vape quality, as the most basic level. I don't use TC, and half of the time I'm using regular BVC or Nauti coils. 11w is my spot, most of the time. It doesn't have to be spot on with the better chips, but all of my cheaper chips are kind of "choppy" (for lack of a better term), when compared with the DNA40, DNA75, Yihi or Aetheon (Innokin) ones. Not unusable, but quite noticeable.

If the V2 is even close to the better ones, it's a definite possibility for me. Although rumor has it that a (very-much-desired) silver Nano might be heading my way, which could change the landscape. ;)

I shall await your respected word. :pop:
