And what is this ad featuring the closet cross dresser who forgot to pull his earrings out before heading out to the office? Seriously? What are they thinking?

Far too heavy to carry in a pocket.
I toss mine in my pocket in a heartbeat & can't feel the weight of it. I know it's there but have to feel for it. As I type this, it occurs to me I wear sweats a lot which are much looser which may be why I don't feel the weight of it.

Funny if I wear sweats with something heavy in the pocket I always feel like the weight of it is pulling my pants down.

Why does he have to be a closet cross dresser because of earrings? These days men wearing earrings is normal.
It was a poor attempt at humor. Earrings started coming into fashion on one ear metal stud only, when I was in my 20s but they never wore two of them and never black ones like that. Just not used to it and I wouldn't expect to see a man in a business suit wearing them. Unprofessional.

I'm over 53 years old and was brought up in a different time. I never understood this need to accessorize by defacing your body with tats, earrings, studs, nickle sized holes in your ears or other. I always felt it was an indication of insecurity, need for attention, or just too much time on your hands in those who feel the need to do so. I always had too many more important responsibilities and things to take care of to waste time, dollars or energy on such pursuits.

Also where & when I grew up if you left the house looking like that you might not make it home alive. Sorry for the off color non PC attempt at humor by calling him a closet cross dresser. Where and when I grew up that would have been funny. I keep forgetting I'm supposed to tiptoe around and avoid saying things like that to keep from offending anyone these days. Just showing my age an biases I grew up with I guess.

I really do believe it was unnecessary in the ad and subconsciously conveys a perception to older generations which includes lawmakers and I'm sure anti vaping activists that vapers are young and disrespectful of conventions and doing harm to both themselves and others by vaping rather than people from all walks of life and ages honestly trying to improve their health by quitting the analogs the only way they can and finding a hobby and community they enjoy.

Actually, he is dressed (including hair and jewelry) much like the majority of metrosexual professional men. Most of whom are professionals.

I agree that there is a generation gap on whether the look is professional, but joytech did not go out of its way to make this person look "weird" or unapproachable, it is actually the way that the men's fashion magazines and many younger men (35ish and below) present themselves these days.

Fair enough! My apologies to all!

I duuno. I agree with Tpat, but I'm an old school, retired, reprobate. I don't care if a guy wants to wear ear rings, full female make-up, or more, or just dresses "traditional" male. That's each persons own business, but in the business world I feel it just isn't appropriate and, to me, indicates a breakdown in societal norms that, over time, may prove more damaging than "empowering".

Well said and I agree completely even though it is not PC to do so!

I don't disagree that the "norm" is no earrings for males. Although it is definitely changing as management, judges, etc. get younger.

I just don't think that Joytech was trying to make a statement or that it was potentially damaging to the vape community. The young man is dresses in an urban or European fashion that is highly popular. Although not "courtroom" appropriate, it would be highly acceptable for a normal day at the office.

Since I'm no Joytech fan, I really don't care about their ad at all. I just don't find a man in a business environment wearing earrings to be particularly appropriate. Again being a stodgy old reprobate that's no wonder at all. From what I remember, it wouldn't be acceptable at any of the companies or Governmental entities I worked at during my life, but times, and norms, sure do change.

The build in battery is actually a plus for me personally. I'm trying to avoid replaceable batteries if I can help it, but I realize I am a minority there (and I'm starting to change my mind somewhat, but I'm not quite there yet).

Lets see what Aikanae has to say about it then, thanks again!
Sorry I didn't see this sooner but I don't have the Athena Envy or Luxury. It seems like with every new device they are getting closer and closer to the "perfect" one.

With the under 35 crowd, I'm surprised there aren't tats peeking out. I also thought those were guages and I have seen those worn in some stuffy environments. What generation hasn't found something that bugs the older generation? Count on it. They could do worse, I don't know how but I'm sure there's at least one 10 yr old working on it.

Sorry, aik - I thought you had one. That was my bad.

I wonder if I can pull off the dual earrings and makeup look.
