What was the other that was modeled after the XvoStick, with a version 1 & 2? Knight or something?

They were pretty popular from what I recall.
Smoant Knight v2??? Smoant had a v1 then the v2.

I was looking for one for Ret1 earlier, SmokStore says it's in-stock but it's not. Apparently they don't update their online store very often.

Still shows in-stock though.

The SXK Supbox 70W has excellent reviews. The SBS cage, shown below, comes in the kit. @Pigs has one, perhaps he might post his thoughts on how he's gotten on with his.

Currently there isn't much out there that offers a protective cage for tanks. SBS mods are still very popular but most do not have protective cages. Sunbox has the Zero Nega 2 but those are pricey and I don't know if they're even available anymore.

One of the SBS's I like a lot is the Aspire Mixx (I have a few). They are built like WWII battleships (CNC'ed aluminum body + stainless steel). The Mixx does not have a protective cage.

FWIW, my German Shepherd has launched mine off a living room table with her tail several times and my cat likes knocking it on it's side. None of my RTA's were damaged and the Mixx was fine.

For reference here is one of mine...

The Mixx will take a tank up to 24mm. My pic has a 22mm KFL19 on it (leaving a 2mm buffer).

Close-up. There is an additional 2mm. Kinda tough to see because the KFL19 is flared at the base by about 0.5mm.

There are other SBS mods if you are willing to forgo the protective cage. Many are hard to find in the US since the PACT Act went into effect.

Hi there SMT! Not sure how I missed the alert - only saw it today.
The supbox is an interesting device; maybe the first sbs/boro interchangeable mod? Not sure but it definitely came before the Abyss.
I don't like it much in boro mode because of the af. It feels weird and turbulent to me. It's almost like airflow was an afterthought in the design.

I do like it as an sbs though.
I run mine with the SXK "beauty kit" that I got from ft. It means you don't need to use the atty cage, so allows a 25 mm diameter atty like the GT4

It's not a pretty device but has an industrial chunkiness. It is very stable on its wide base, so perfect for RDTAs or tall RTAs.

The SEVO 70 board is an old friend of mine - no DNA - but reliable and flexible.

Thanks T!!! :thumb:

I would have purchased one if they would have sold a SBS only version.

I've seen the Supbox SEVO70 for under 30 bucks which includes the SbS. That is if you don't mind the cage.

If you are interested in the 18650/18350 Kit that allows it to look nice without the cage... well that boat has sailed I am afraid.

It took me quite some time to track down an Ennequadro Flexy mech SbS. Ennequadro gear sells out super quick everywhere. Finally found one at a store in Dublin, Ireland.

Flexy next to one of my Mixx SbS's. The Mixx is 87mm to the top of the battery cap. The Flexy, 70mm. Hard to believe each has an 18650 installed. As far as I know the Flexy is one of the smallest SbS mods around.

And you Trekkie's here should have noticed something uniquely Vulcan in my photo.

Ya know, Live Long and Prosper... Spock.

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

If there's ever been a great motto for vapers, the reverse of that statement just might be it. :headbang:

Logic clearly dictates that the needs of vapers outweigh the needs of the government. :thumb:

Looks like China is upping the SxS game a bit.... Sporting the YiHi SX600J. Too many interesting mods, too little $$ for all of them... :hubba: :w00t:

I was checking that out the other day too. Not really my cuppa (and not cheap!), but I still have to admire the work. "Upping their game", as you indicated. Never a bad thing.
