"I see for example on the TEK site that they say they are only shipping in Florida for any items covered by the PACT Act."

I might be blabbing here and spilling the beans, but I've seen other companies use that exact language. Turns out there is some sort of secret handshake comment you have to put in the comment box when you order. Seems like the company I'm thinking of has it on their fb page; Such is life these days where such silly cr*p has to happen.

I guess a state being named is because it's their home state, and avoids the gummint since it's not interstate commerce.

Since TEK is in Slovakia, I'm thinking maybe it was VapinArt they were looking at earlier. They're the ones with the "Stork" delivery (or something like that) for stuff out of FL.

Yeah i haven't ordered yet because there is no answer to my email. :(

Also looked at it but there is no cap for battery on 21700 version, also some people might like but i don't like these push-battery style. Since looks like there is no Rusmods, gonna wait some new models from other manufacturer. If I find i will get another Paramour which is perfectly designed for my taste.

Thanks to you all, especially @DPLongo22

My pleasure and I'm REALLY GLAD you didn't place an order. I wish folks would kill their sites when they shut down, but that doesn't seem to always happen in Vapeworld.

I'm with you on the batteries. The 18650 ones come with a tube, and I'm fine with that. I don't like open batteries at ALL either. Not for me.

@DPLongo22, you probably saw the photos in Marty's FB group (???).

To my knowledge, no pricing has been announced. But, Limelight...... so $$$.

Per Marty........

Looks like Miloslav at Tek is getting ready to bring back some of the much desired SBS mods such as the MX1, Shred V2.1, and Horizon EVO.

For updates, keep an eye out in the Tek Division Official group.

I'm very happy with my Tek Division Legacy (DNA 60) SBS, so I will pass on these. But, that Limelight SBS totally has my interest.

Not my style, + + I will never buy from those suckers there.
I still haven't got my repaired squonker back, it's been a year in January, they can't even send a payment giro for the return shipping.

Your ongoing bad experience with that squonker has me completely turned-off to Sunbox products.

Terrible service and customer support. :glare:

And to think, once upon a time they had a stellar reputation.

The only Sunbox mod I have is their collaboration with Aspire. The Mixx, I have 3. Those are totally built like WWII battleships.
I haven't had a single issue with any of mine.

I am eagerly waiting to see your finished upgrade to either a DNA 60 or BF60.

I did, SMT, but still thank you! @GeekyGeezer has also been keeping me looped on this one.

Regarding the Globes, I recall that first ones. Interesting, but it was always more of a head-tilter for me. At least we can say it IS something different, which is never a terrible thing.

Unexpectedly, the TEK Endurance has really shot up to top-notch for me. It's running full time, along with 2 of my 3 Unions. Well, technically, the 3rd one was @Katdarling 's, but she bequeathed it to me (she wasn't nearly as fond of it as I am). :)

I'm definitely out of the market but STILL really enjoy watching all the SbS mods drop. It's curious to me, and VERY entertaining. It's like every 20 minutes or so, there's another still coming out. I keep wondering if it's the same people just buying different mods, or are NEW vapers jumping straight in at the SbS level?

These and other vapin' questions are things we might never truly know for sure. That said, I'll keep enjoying the show!

I had to do full-fledged surgery on both of my Xvos. With GG's help, I was finally able to get the 510 plates off. I thought I had cleaned them after my last use, but I clearly had NOT. Now, they're both sparkling and squeaky. I WILL be breaking them out again one of these days. <3

So, which one or ones are YOU planning on getting?

I had the Zero Nega for a while. I think I might have had two of them. I liked them, but not enough to keep, so they got sold.

They once had a good reputation. One day I will sit down to collect the email correspondence I had with them. I think you will be totally amazed that it is possible.
I don't mind posting it on the forum.

Will send them a final email, if they are not able to send an invoice for the return shipping cost in a week, they can send the mod to me at their own shipping cost.

Next time the chipset dies, the mod should definitely not be sent back to the Sunbox, DNA 60 or Bf can fit.

I don't have an Endurance, but do like the looks of it. Looks like it's comfy in-hand.

From what I'm seeing in Marty's group, it looks like the same people who keep buying SbS's. I've seen a few new people, here and there.

Happy to hear you managed to get your Xvos squared away.

The only new SbS mod I'm interested in is the Limelight one. But....... it all depends on pricing.

I have a walnut Limelight Freehand mech squonker, it's one of my favs. Very solidly built.
full.jpg

Lately my most used SbS has been the Fakirs Illusia-D (BF60 chip).

full-1.jpg

If I do end up buying a Limelight SbS, it will be the first SbS I've purchased in a very long time. And with 10-11 SbS's it's not like I need another one.

Yes - GG's always been VERY high on the Limelights. He has (at least) one too.

The Endurance is a phenomenal carry-piece. Very light, comfy to hold, and they did the fire buttons PERFECT to my taste. The Xvos won me over, button-wise, way back in 2015. It's been tough finding anything with a very similar button, but the Endurance hit it spot-on.

After having some troubles with the Hummingbird, I now use the 510 protectors on ALL of my recently built stuff. Apparently, the company that made the sealed 510s closed up shop.

If all else fails, I know the Xvos will still run. Hermetically sealing them makes them require a bit of maintenance (cleaning under the 510 plates), but I now realize the immense value there.

I'm "modded out" too. NO MORE. I swear... ;) :vapor:

Doesn't your Game Over squonker have the Omegavaper Nucleo chipset??? It wasn't doing TC correctly or something???

Yeah, I was thinking with your skills you could likely fit a DNA 60 or BF60 in it.

Is this 18650 only?
Looks so nice. I like this fire button design, there is a small gap between outside of the mod body and button. Safer to carry on pocket/backpack. And plus, nice to see there is a battery tube. I see there are lots of mods with open battery design like tek endurance 21700 which i don't like.

That is absolutely beautiful. I just can't justify spending that much when I already own at least a dozen mech squonkers. But gawd it's pretty.

I use those plastic 510 protectors on mods that I don't want swirl marks from atty's.

Yes, as far as I know, the Limelight SbS is 18650 only.

To my knowledge there aren't many 21700 SbS mods. I prefer 18650 over 21xxx for all mods.

Right, I don't care for mods with an open battery design.

For SbS mods I prefer small and compact.

    full.jpg

The Ennequadro Flexy's are ( perhaps???, not 100% sure ) the smallest SbS mods that I personally know of. On the right is the Flexy v1 mech, the height of the 18650 battery tube is 70mm. On the left is the newer Flexy v2 DNA 60, 73mm height. The mech Flexy is always in my rotation.

I really ( REALLY ) like the Stratum Balance v2 SbS, but after finding out the price from Andrey Sava (designer) via FB, I passed. $400+, depending on the design one wants. But, I knew the various Stratum mods were/are something very highly sought after by many collectors. And frankly, $400 is on the lower end compared to some of their mods. Someone who hasn't been on ECF in 2-3 years has quite the collection of Stratum mods.
