The Endura is fixed at 14 watts because you are supposed to use the 1.2 ohm coil/tank that comes with it. We have 2 Coolfire I that are fixed at 8.5 watts designed to use with a 2 ohm coil and they work well that way.
I may sometimes vary my wattage based on the wire that I am using, due to variances in ramp up time, but I don't vary my wattage based on resistance. That is the point of VW; varying voltage based on resistance to attain the similar vape heat. I vape at 8 or 9 watts whether I'm using a 2 ohm coil or a 1 ohm coil.

That, and on the particular flavor :)

Good for you. This isn't designed for you. It is for the smoker that want to try vaping.

Exactly. In my case I set my watts at 7 or 7.5...as a rule. Which is low. But I can use 1.5 ohm to 2.1 ohm with no worries. And long lived coils (like my current 9-week-old-and-still-cranking GS Air) that "creep up" over time are still fine. That old coil I'm using now has crept from 1.5 to 2.1...but that's okay. So far it's still working, still tastes good, not clogged...it's just fine! If I'm locked in to a certain ohm coil because the watts are fixed too high...I'd be had.

I really don't understand this new trend. Set wattage?

I can understand set voltage, we all dealt with that with our regulated eGos and unregulated kr808 batts, but we at least had a choice of using different resistance cartos to vary the wattage a bit to suit our tastes.

Nobody knows how much wattage a smoker who wants to quit might need, not even the said smoker. Many of us quit happily puffing on our Boge cartos at 4.5 watts; others need a sub-ohm device to finally cross to the other side.

If I were a new vaper, I wouldn't want a device that gives me no choice whatsoever. Somebody had a really bad idea. 14 watts only? Why? I've been vaping for years and very rarely go up to 14 watts--usually only when I try new atties. My happy place is still somewhere between 6.5-12 volts, depending on the atomizer and juice I'm using. And I always tweak my wattage, anyway, even with the same atty; sometimes I need a bit more oomph, so I up my wattage, other times I dial it down when I just want to chain vape peacefully.

there's just no way, in my mind, that different juices will all taste their best at one wattage level :?:

Right on. I need more wattage for my tobaccos and an occasional coffee vape, for example, whereas my delicate fruit and white teas prefer cooler settings.

Yes and no. I quit using a "vapor shark fusion system" which I know now was a vivi nova and a non-adjustable ego battery. The set cost over $60 without and eliquid back then. This endura thing is less than 35 bucks. It is 1.5 dual coil which is far more than the old vivi's had. I started with the Blu starter kit which at the time was over $60 too, and moved to the vaporshark because the Blu didn't do it for me.

If this $30 set can help someone, and it is simple because it is top fill, and it doesn't leak, it could do wonders for smokers who think that vaping is just too hard to understand.

What if this set is too aggressive (or not aggressive enough) for a new new vaper and he/she will decide that vaping is not for them because they can't dial down (or up) the wattage to suit their needs?

Variable voltage/wattage was a game changer--especially for new vapers. And there's nothing complicated about adjusting one's wattage a bit, up or down.

Leaking and top fill and such have nothing to do with set wattage. Having said that, any tank can and will leak on occasion. Nature of the beast. Vaping is not like smoking and never will be. There's a learning curve. :)

Not sure, but (at least the box) it seems to be a fixed wattage device at 14 watts. Too much for me and many.

And that was my initial thought, exactly, Turtle. Someone got it their mind that 14 watts was perfect with their 1.5Ω coils. Who that mind was? We may never know, but sorry, Innokin, as much love as I have for you, this was an odd move, to say the least.

Will it be THE perfect set up for THE smoker? Puleeze. Impastable, and we all know that. This product could potentially end up defeating the smoker's purpose in switching to vape.

I realize they did this for ease - make it as cigarette smoking like as pastable. But. Hmmmm.

Oh, and it's another variation on Innokin's favorite "top-coil cartomizer" design... So expect dry hits, especially when the eliquid level in the tank gets low. Come on, Innokin! Another Vivi Nova?

Innokin Endura T18 Coils 5-Pack (Authentic) – $5.42

KatyLovie, supposedly (and I have no clue cuz I didn't buy this device or coils) this new design by Innokin allows for wicking in any position of the tank. Who knows! :D

Perhaps. But gravity is a ..., well, gravity. :D

Maybe I'm just cranky today... I never cared for top coils.
