I was eyeing the Coupor but I really wanted the option to exceed 30w. That's leaving the Kbox.
There's a good chance that manufacturers will learn a lot for the next round of itty bitty's. I just can't see mega mods coming back but then I was never fond of them before either.

Either the Cloupor Mini 30W or the Kanger KBOX 40W is a good choice. Both require user-supplied 20A continuous 18650 IMRs (such as the LG HE2/HE4 or the Samsung 25R), with external charging required for the KBOX (no USB) and highly advisable for the Cloupor (suspect USB), but battery swaps are quick and easy on each device.

Right now, both can be had on the cheap:

Cloupor Mini 30W, $23.49 shipped from dealsmachine

And I probably should have clarified up front that one of the reasons I prefer a mod with replaceable batteries is that I will use that feature, 25-50% of the time (depending on circumstances).

Not being able to, or having to jump through hoops to do so, literally defeats the purpose for me. USB charging stinks (I'm SPOILED by the ridiculously fast EPMs), and sometimes I want a fresh battery (for whatever reason).

Using a quarter for the SX Mini is about as far as I want to go. Screws? No. THESE screws? 'ELL NO!!!

For people who have not heard, ECF is changing their forum software. Looks like next week. There are several threads announcing it, but I have been following this one that retired1 is explaining how to do things in the new software.

Might be a good idea to download all your private messages, because if they do port over, if you have them organized in any way, they will come through not organized. I downloaded my private messages as text, organizing them as I went along by person, conversation, topic, whatever, opened them with Notepad and saved them with a file name so I know what messages they are. Maybe not the most efficient way to do it, but that's what I did. You can download them in other formats and hope they import, but messages will be treated differently than the current software.

I personally applaud ECF's effort to stay current. The new software is supposed to handle other platforms, like tablets and phones, easier. Perhaps we can do away with Tapatalk (YEAH!!!!!). We shall see.
