I am in favor of Gase. And I am in favor of regulations. Gase has been good with improving the performance of QBs. I wish the EAGLES would have gotten him. I hope he helps Tannenburghillsteen, or whatever his name is. And strong regulation is absolutely a necessity in a market economy. I don't want lead in my drinking water or window sill paint, but a pure market economy would provide exactly that because product cost and short-term profits become the leading market factors without regulation. The free market must be tempered by extensive regulation to protect public interests from private greed. And extensive regulation does not need to a damper on innovation in any way.

In some instances, yes, regulations bring value. But we've taken it to a ridiculous extreme (lemonade stands, etc.) . This industry, in particular, has proven the value of a market left to its own devices.

As for the impact on innovation, in our case I expect we're about to find out. I'm less optimistic than you, VT, but I hope you prove me incorrect.

Lemonade stands are clearly in violation of child labor regulations, an example of outstanding government action. And the lemonade is almost always too sour. Too sour lemonade should definitely be outlawed!

;)

Good point. Now that I think about it, we probably SHOULD throw those conniving little ......s into the slammer.

It's getting very good reviews on Facebook, but it might be a bit too early to form any reliable opinions. Watching...

Having survived the days of adapters for 501 and 901 and 808 and whatever... 510 is ok.

No one seems to be jumping on the P3 bandwagon.

We'd have to convince manufacturers and 9 million vapers. "WE" don't have the power to force anyone to do squat. That sorta ends the daydream for me.

Someone in another thread mentioned that it looked like a carto in a tank. Endura does too.
Grimm Green in his VLOG (I know, I know but I like him) said that Aspire made a sub-ohm carto tank. He called this "Clieto" a carto tank.

Maybe innovation would come from not having to design for so many different sizes and shapes and things changing every two weeks.

So people think it is nifty that an Aspire BVC happens to fit and work in a Kanger tank but making this more widespread is a bad idea.

I have nothing against "wide spread", Paul, but if the industry had "standardized" say on Kanger PT1 coils, would that have been a good thing? Coil design, wicking, air flow all affect the quality of the vape. Requiring them to all be the same could stop improvements

That said, I deliberately kept all my clearo types compatible with two types, to simplify my life. But that was my choice, not Big Brudda telling me. I like choices, whether or not I make good ones

On the coil subject, I'm not talking about the coil head itself, but the size of the hole in the base, the thread or none, the length and top detail. That said I can see how that would interfere with new ideas in chimney and base design.

Oh well, never gonna happen anyway.

So I finally got some Aspire BVC coils from FT. They wick great, no leaks, no gurgling, plenty of air and very nice flavor. Very, very nice flavor.

Now I'm beginning to understand why so many people here love Aspire coils.

Katya...the site does not elaborate...

Are the the small hole ones...or the bigger hole ones?

Are they the ceramic ones or the cotton ones???
