I'd like to hear your stories. Here's mine:

vaping made me quit tomato juice.

Most people insist on the fact that they taste food better. I sure smell food better, but the taste has not really changed for me.

Lol. I thought I was the only one who can't taste the difference. Food tastes and smells the same to me. Off the sticks for close to 2 years now and my breathing hasn't improved either. But my breath sure as hell smells better, and my lips are no longer black from all the tar. That's more than good enough for me.

I'm the same way Reign, I can smell a smoker from across a parking lot. Never would have thought I'd be that sensitive to the smell of smoke, its terrible, and keeps me from going back when I'm having a bad vaping day.

I don't enjoy eating food from McDonald's anymore, it tastes like crap now.

Hate to break it to you but McDonald's always tasted like that lol :p

Oh yea I didn't know.

@Sub it's perfectly fine to be a dual user, but you aren't smelling the same thing ex-smokers are smelling. I still remember quite literally soaking up the delicious smell of a burning cigarette. Now I can't be in the same room with a smoker. I don't mind that they smoke. It just makes me gag.

I understand what you mean and I wasn't trying to be an arguing idiot I'm just tired of all the ex smokers acting like smoking is so nasty and how they can't stand it, however they smoked for years but now that they vape only they seem to act like smoking is such a terrible thing.

I don't think anyone who smokes is nasty or bad, it's just my sense of smell has changed and the smell is really off putting now. I remember the days when I would smell it and it would make me want a smoke, that just doesn't happen now. You could also be a little more understanding towards people like myself. Just saying.

I too have a hard time with the smell of cigarette. I have to fumigate the storage room with incense because, for some reason, the downstair neighbour's cigarette smell gets in there bit time. I filled up all the holes from previous hooks on the wall and it makes only a small difference.

After converting to vaping, I don't cough a lot as before, but my taste changes, I don't like chocolate any more.

Another one? You guys need to find some good quality chocolate, like Lindt. Chocolate bars are nasty!

I have a coworker who's an ex-smoker and almost yelled at me when I went out the back for a smoke while the delivery door was open. I thought he was being a d***. Another co-worker pointed out that ex-smokers are the worst when it comes to it and I noticed it seems like the truth. Now that I'm smoke free I understand why: it feels like cigarette smells a hundred times worse than before I smoked. Just keep that in the back of your mind in case you go smoke free some day. I once said I'd never blame anyone for smoking and now I added "unless I can smell it".

I wasn't trying to insult you or anyone in particular and I certainly understand some people don't like the smell of tobacco smoke or anything burning and some also have allergies. I've always considered myself a fairly polite smoker and try not to bother others when I smoke. I'm just disappointed in the over board vapers who act like they never smoked and who now want to be disassociated with smokers and think their so much better. Fact is every person I know that vapes also smokes. I think the vaping only crowd is very small. I'm very close with my smoke shop owner who also sells lots of vape stuff and he confirms that most of his customers who buy vape stuff also buy tobacco. Of course the majority of his customers only buy tobacco and a very small amount only buy liquid or vape gear, and almost all of those that do only buy vape gear are the very young crowd, mostly cloud chasing hobbyists.

For me it is definitely allergies have returned after 10 allergy free years. Oh and sub you have the opposite experience most of the vapers i know are ex-smokers. Though probably has to do with knowing a lot of people who wanted to quit badly.Nothing against smokers but now it does smell awful to a lot of us. And if you are a polite smoker we would never have issues.

My father and I have had a running and driving project bronco II in fair shape that I bought off a friend for $200 a few years ago that we get together and swing wrenches on every once in awhile and it's kind of hard to stay in their garage since he's a heavy smoker and has ashtrays everywhere. I step in there and my sinuses go nuts for the first 30 minutes.

Not to mention it smells like.....

I don't have a smokers cough - I don't smoke - but I do have a perpetual cough. I've had it checked by a couple of doctors, and nobody knows what causes it.
I have to clear my throat many, many times a day.

Since I started vaping - and I'm not vaping a whole lot right now with the disposables - the frequency of throat clearing is Definitely down.

Those who vape and now can't stand tobacco crack me up, how silly.

count me as one of the people who can't stand the smell of tobacco now ... no matter how they try to cover it up ... smokers smell really foul.

Lets me just say, I get it now ... sure glad I don't smell like that anymore.

I used to roll my own, take a few drags and stick it in my pocket to finish later. You know that little cluster of hairs that grow on the end of your nose when you get old. Well you don't, but you will one day. I was always burning those little suckers when I lit up a short one. You could smell the burnt hair for quite a while.

Y'all are kidding about the allergies down here. My OH has to get weekly allergy shots just to freaking live in Houston. Sucks.

Has anyone else noticed that mosquitoes started biting them again since switching to vaping? That's my unusual thing. When I was smoking, they never bit me, even if I didn't have a lit cigarette. ALMOST worth switching back...hahaha.
