Hey guys, new here from Atlanta, GA. A little about myself. I'm currently 25 years old, and have been smoking for 14-15 years (yeah I started really early). However, I'm now wanting to quit smoking and have heard about these new e-cigarettes that help you quit and are much better for you. I've been doing extensive research on which company I should go with, and I'm completely stumped. So, with that, I have a few questions I would like to ask the gurus of this forum.
First of all, what I'm looking for is an e-cigarette that has great throat hit and lots of vape. My father purchased one recently, though I'm not sure which one he has. It's a black pipe with a gold rim that separates the "filter" area from the rest and says "janty". I did try his, but it barely produced any "smoke" and felt extremely weak. I want to find something that will produce a lot of thick smoke and feel of a real cigarette. So far I've looked at the Volcano Inferno. Any suggestions about the Volcano Inferno, or if someone feels there is something better please let me know. I would like the price range to be ~$100. Thanks in advance, and hope to learn a lot from everyone here!

Auto batts fire when you suck air through them, and manual batts have a button you need to press to fire it. Manual batts are better, i know it is not like a ciggy but you get used to it in 5 seconds flat. They also prevent leaking of liquid into your battery which will kill them.

Drip tips are used as the mouthpiece with a hole in them so you can top up your liquid without having to remove anything. Tanks are for people who don't want to refill their cartomizers very often, i wouldn't even be looking at them to begin with.

Got a little confused in your post. Do you mean that drip tips are better than tanks?

Thanks CCC for the info! I thought I would be able to make my decision by now seeing as I've researched for 2 days straight, but the more I research, the more confused I get lol. As you seem very knowledgeable, what e-cig would you recommend? I have looked at both links posted by the users above, but one of them is not available, and the other link has bad reviews about the battery :(

Make sure you get whats right for you, for me its having something that is light and portable. What brand did you smoke and how much? And we can go from there. Also I have found that it is more the cartomizer that you use more than the battery that you use that determines the amount of vapor. High voltage will also produce more vapor and be rather harsh as well, in that instance you will need to tone down the nicotine, but with more vapor you are getting more nic as well, majority of batts on skinny models that resemble cigs are around 3-4V whereas you can get a bigger mod or VV that produces 5V and up. Everyone is going to like alot of vapor but not everyone is going to like an intense TH, the Lavatube is a VV that will allow you to find your vaping sweet spot and if its low where a skinny batt is then you might as well grab one for portability, however if its high you may have to go with a boxmod or somthing that fits in your pocket to vape from.

There are hundreds of people happily using eGo batteries, i wouldn't read too much into that 1 review that said there was a problem with them. You dont have to use the madvapes website if that makes you nervous, many other vendors sell eGo kits. This one was good because you get LR cartomizers with it (low resistance) which are more harsh like a real ciggy. I would just grab some more e-liquid with this kit as 10ml will probably last you a week.

Thanks again! Where would I go to purchase more e-liquid?

Thanks FeelMyRoth. I smoked Newports for a few years, but have smoked Marlboro Menthol 72's for the past year. I also smoke about a pack a day. On weekends when I go out to drink, that goes up to about a pack and a half, sometimes two.

I'm feeling you, I was the same way but I was with camel menthol lights. So you are going to need something stronger hit wise being that you are a regular and you liked menthol. Finding a menthol e-flavor that you like will be hard, I still haven't found mine and typically stick to sweet flavors. If I were you I would start asking about VV's it would allow you to find out if High voltage is your thing, the thing I will tell you is that unfortunately, being that you smoked fairly harsh cigs, you are going to need a harsh PV(another name for e-cig that is broader) and if you were hoping for something that had the palpable feel of a cig or cigar at least, you probably won't find it, However if you find that low voltage is good enough for you, you will be able to supplement your VV or Mod with a 510 or an EGo or 808. I would also suggest starting at 36mg and work your way down, its going to be hard to get off menthol cigs but it can be done.
