No such animal! One will be the "Bestist" for some, and leak like a sieve for others. Take your pick, give it a try and go for the next.
This.

I've had good luck with the Griffin 25. I have a Cthulhu v3 on the way...I doubt it will leak.

If you use rayon, you can keep any rta dry. Good stuff.

Most any RTA will leak if the wick gets over saturated. The path is juice dripping from the wick and coil area into the air tube when it's vertical.

Other than that leaks can occur if there's a bad o-ring that lets air into the tank. There must be a vacuum inside the tank to prevent leakage. That little bubble you see rising after a vape is the tank equalizing pressure after juice is wicked into the chimney.

FWIW, a quick check for leakage is to wet your finger and hold it over the air hole. Suck a vacuum on the drip tip and hold it with your tongue. A good o-ring seal will hold the vacuum for a minimum 10 to 15 seconds without losing strength. I've counted off 60 seconds before and still had a vacuum. If there's vacuum leakage you'll find it that way.

Leaks can also occur if you lay the tank on its side. There's usually some juice condensation from vapor in the chimney tube and that will run down into the drip tip.

That's true. No tank will "never leak". I've had tanks leak slightly by just driving from the valley up into the mountains. Outside lower pressure will allow the higher pressure in the tank to push out some juice. It's just enough to notice and I wipe it off and vape a few times to equalize the pressures.

Sometimes, I've had a tank in my pocket outside in the Summer. Body heat and 98 degree air will heat up the tank and leak a little. It's all about expansion and equalization of pressures.

Yep the closest to a no leak tank would be those that draw their air from the top.
Of course many of those are prone to gurgle and such.

thank you for the responses. I tried rewicking the griffin about 10 times, watched youtube videos and read threads.

at this point ive given up on it. I like the top airflow idea.

based on the responses what i figured seems to be true. all rtas can have leak issues by nature.

this alone leads me to think that i should just back off the rtas. my goal was an all day on the go tank but its in my pocket and my job is very active. leaking is a no go.

looks like ill be sticking with my good old subtank mini rba.

thanks all for the responses.

I have been using mostly Subtank Mini's with the RBA base for most of a year now. And only 1 leak which was due to my wicking error.
Some RTA's are more prone to leaking than others and esp some of the topfill ones like to dribble a bit after filling.

With that said it is mostly in the wicking as to if they leak or not.

Foolproof does not exist, there are too many fools.
Some tanks are more prone to leaking, but in general tanks leak because they have not been wicked correctly.

Maybe your clone is poorly made. Perhaps you could invest a couple more bucks in an authentic before writing off the Griffin?

Up to 10+ wick attempts. On this thing. Leaks everything at various rates.

I assume it's a tolerance issue at this point.

I'm loving the ease of my avocado 24.

So I'm returning the griffin and getting another avocado

I'm genuinely sorry you are having a hard time, but ten unsuccessful attempts doesn't prove anything other than you did it wrong ten times. All the best with the Avocado.
