My Griffin RTA keeps leaking

The one in the picture is the one it shipped with, have replaced it with the 'fat' black one which seems too big and makes the glass sits a bit loosely. Will replace that one with the smaller black one and see if it's helping.
That's funny because mine shipped with the small black oring there. Not the small fat black one but the skinny black o ring.

Well in hindsight, I think it came down to a bogus o-ring and due to wrong wicking (having some wick near the airholes actually transporting juice to the airflow). I used the trick absoluttalent mentioned: fill with the airflow open, screw top on, open juice channels and vape away. Guess somehow this creates a better vacuum?

Can't say I've used the griffin that much since I first posted, as I am waiting for some wire to come in from FT, taking much longer than expected.

Thanks again everyone for the advice.

Try this:

With an assembled tank,

1) Close AFC and JFC, open top cap and pour juice in. Close top cap.

2) Flip it upside down, unscrew the base from the tank.

3) Screw the base back on.

4) Open AFC and KFC and it should not leak.
Thanks for this. I will try this before I throw it out the window or in the garbage.

My Griffin is a complete disaster and I have over a dozen RDA/RTA's, so I am not a total newbie.

Worst designed RTA I have ever used by far. Makes my Aromamizer look like a Nautilus with premade coils.

Of course, the instructions are basically nonexistent, which doesn't help.

I'm posted the OP and can totally relate to how you feel about the Griffin. But I believe I've fixed my issues. Been vaping on the griffin since I made the post above (2 up, so what ... for 6.5 hours) and zero leaks.

- I replaced the o-rings with the greens from the little bag
- wicking ... making 200% sure that nothing is even remotely close to the airholes
- fill and screw the topcap on with the airflow fully open to create the 'right' vacuum

this is after 1 month of frustration
