Would prefer a non genesis, bottom fed, American Made (or any country where workers earn a living wage... NO CLONES). Pyrex tank or metal. Don't have the post count to go into the classifieds yet. Been looking online. Found the squape for $30 more than msrp from Europe totaling to over $250 when all was said and done. Didn't pull the trigger on that one. Currently hunting either a kayfun lite or a squape, but if there is one closer to home I'd be more than happy to give it a try.

The Kayfun is a bottom coil.

The REO is a bottom feed. Semi automatic dripper with a squonk bottle tank; integrated box containing unregulated battery;

So on the kayfuns the juice drips from the top? I thought there were channels under the coil for wicking... Wouldn't this be "bottom fed" by the definition of "bottom" and "fed"?

Well on the Kayfun, the coil is at the bottom; the liquid is above the coil in a tank and can go down due to gravity.
I call that a bottom coil. I suppose it could also be called top feed because the liquid is above and has to feed downward.

On a genesis, the coil is at the top; the liquid is in a tank below the coil and has to climb up a wick to get to the coil.
I call that top coil. I suppose it could be called bottom feed because the liquid is below and has to go up.

But in both those cases the liquid does not 'feed' freely, the liquid goes via wick; especially the genesis.

On a REO, the liquid is in a squishy plastic bottle, below the coil; you squish/squonk the bottle and pump liquid UP to to the coil!!!!!
So in this case the liquid really feeds directly by force! It's like Fuel Injection!
Crude prototype of an elegant concept.

Thank you. Ordered the squape. Really like the reviews and videos I've read and watched. When I was looking for a dripper I got the patriot and aside from wanting to drill the holes I think it's a beautiful piece of work.

You won't be disappointed Dane. Been using my SQuape religiously for a little over a week now, and the thing is perfect for me. I've seen some complaints about a tight draw, but that suits me just fine.

Best SQuape build video I've found is from PBusardo. I tried several different types initially, but Phil's is rock-solid for me.

I've had zero leaking/flooding issues. Been running the same coil since Tuesday (4 days), and have changed the wick once. I did have a terminal screw loosen a bit today, but that was a real easy fix.

Make sure you let us know how you like it! Any questions with it, please don't hesitate to ask!
