I am currently using an e-leaf I-Stick TC 40W. I really like its size and comfort in my hand. I am not into sub ohm vaping, I actually prefer around 11-15 Watts, so most of the new gear out there is something that would be overkill for me.

I am looking for a mod, that goes to at MOST 40W, under 50$ and possibly with a removable battery space. Any advice?

If all you need is 40W then just don't set it any higher then 40W?

I don't see the problem here.

Otherwise I'm afraid you are limiting yourself to 18350 devises with your current preferences which will mean you will loose out on battery life.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I can't think of any suggestions that meet your demands. There's the Dani Extreme V2 Plus but that is about 4 times your budget.

Good luck on your search.

I own an iStick TC40w and I still love it even though I have multiple 150W and 200W MOD's now. Even though I have the multiple cell MOD's and the ability to go up to 200 Watts I do not posses a Sub Ohm tank yet to crank these puppies up. Using a 200w MOD at 10-12 watts does make for extremely long battery life though.

You are currently able to find a multitude of low priced mods which would suit your preferred needs. I see dna 30 mods out there now for under $40 !! A quick Google search throws up lots of options. I hope you find something you like. I'm debating buying the COV mini Volt just for the form factor, nice and stealthy!

Every battery is replaceable. Some just require a soldering iron to do so.

Even on "non-replaceable battery" mods, someone put the original in there in the first place.

ETA: I love my mini-volt and nugget. I'll consider them "dead" when the chipset finally dies. When the batteries start to die, I'll take them apart, sort out a suitable replacement and install new ones. It'll take more time to choose and order the replacement than it will to install it once it arrives.

Most likely they'll be as cheap as dirt anyway by the time that happens but good to be able to help yourself or just tinker with stuff:thumb:

Honestly? I suggest you pick up whatever high quality mod suits your fancy. Don't worry about wattage capabilities. Anything that can do 50, 100, even 200 watts, can do 15 just fine. Just because it can go that high, doesn't mean you have to push it that high. It's like this. Even most 4 cylinder, 1.6 liter engines can push 120 mps. You aren't driving that fast though, are you?

*Shrugs* basically you're just going to get kick .... battery life on a duel, or tri battery device with very high wattage capability. That ain't no bad thing for you, I tell you what.

I read that in a Hank Hill voice, lol.

What about nice deals on older models that have been proven reliable? Ant reason to steer clear of slightly older stock? Some of this new stuff looks great but doesn't have a track record to speak of yet.

I ment it in a Hank Hill voice ;P

But, really it just depends on what you want. Depending on what you're looking at, older devices can do you just fine. I just assumed you wanted something newer. What sort of price range are you looking at? If you're willing to make a small investment, for someone who has no interest in subohming, a classic Provari would do you well. You can get even an authentic for pretty cheap these days (they used to cost an arm and a leg). You can get an even better deal second hand. I think I saw a couple in the classifieds here a couple days ago. Yeah they're pretty old tech, but you want something with a proven track record? Provari is certainly that.

The main issue with older tech, well, recently we've had an explosion of high quality products. But a couple years ago, most of what was available, the quality just wasn't there for the less expensive devices. So it depends on how far back you're looking. If you're looking at a couple month old stock, go for it. If you're looking back a couple years, be careful.
