I lean towards stuff like dual fused claptons so the higher power is appreciated. It's funny that I use high mass coils in TC. In wattage mode I hate the slow ramp up, then the overhot vapor at the end of the draw and the slow cool down. If I'm in wattage mode I prefer a simple round, easy to heat up and quick to cool. Probably not a typical way of using TC but it works for me.

Let me guess, an easy way to set up a preheat and maybe even a user set power curve for Kanthal. That would be a really nice addition if kept simple.
Then you might appreciate that this has enough power to satisfy even quad fused claptons:

Get an appliance dolly for your Vape Gear ! ;)
Papa, the one I am vaping on right now is close to the same size as that HCIGAR squonker you have.
48mm x 29mm x 97mm and it has that lipo in it shown above.
55mm x 25 mm x 83mm (HCIGAR Squonker)

Oh, OK. I was envisioning a modified golf cart with a 500 Amp generator, a 10 gallon liquid vat and two oxygen cylinders. I don't vape high wattage, obviously....
Neither do I, I vape at 420f - 450f, preheat might shoot up to 60-70w but then quickly levels out around 20-30w.

I like lipos though because they will last me a weekend. I dont travel as much as you, but I do go see the GF on the weekend and I like a mod that will last the whole soiree.

If you want the top wattage, then a 4S lipo is the way to go in order to keep the size manageable.

Something like this works nicely and is a lot more compact than 4 cylinder cells.

I figured it had to be with a lipo to get to 300W. I would never need that wattage, but I would like to see something like my Efusion duo with the ability to swap out the lipo for a battery sled with the max output limited to meet the available power.

Funny you should mention that. She's smuggling in a package today that was delivered to her yesterday with some juices, coils, and assorted and sundry odds and ends I need.

@Eskie , I'm going to bet the hospital staff loves you. They could catch you vaping, probably, and just ignore it.

In case that's bad advice, well, I'm out of the advice business these days... :) Hope you enjoy your new goodies :) And keep getting better, OH HOW I hate hospitals. Generally, but mainly when I am inside one, on the wrong side of the locked door. I hate it so much, I actually decided to refuse to work in any anymore... LOL.

Well, yes in the sense that you may have to push different buttons and whatnot to set stuff. But overall the general principles seem to stay the same across mods. I mean, you will probably have to find your "sweet spot" on the new mod, but I'm fairly certain it will be FAR easier than your first foray....

JAC DNA 75, 316L SS, TC 405 -425 F, 0.60 Ohms +/-, 20 Watts with a 40 Watt heat-up. I use the warmer in the early AM and then by evening I am at 405 F. Very very satisfying. This thread has been an eye opener, I would have been a long time to TC without it.
Many thanks to Papaw for starting it. Many thanks to Mike Petro, although I was not capable of understanding most of your thread, I was able to discern that getting towards 450 F increased risk.

So anyways, back on topic...
In a month or so, the slow boat from China will deliver my VT Inbox. I am thinking this will be my first mod with a DNA board. Not sure what Eleaf uses. Should I expect to relearn a new system ?
Did you use ArticFox to customize the settings on your eLeaf?

DNA uses Escribe which is a tad better. If you go through the effort you can achieve a lot better accuracy with a typical Evolv board than a typical eLeaf board.

But as CMD said above, the concepts of TC are the same. It measures the resistance change in the wire to extrapolate the temperature. All of the nuances with airflow, need for good tight connections, spaced coils, etc all remain the same.
