I've been reading and lurking and such for some time.

Have a real itch to do this REO thing but I don't want to rebuild stuff.

Can anyone take the time to "build" me a REO - what do I NEED? (The links in the FAQ weren't working, sorry!)

Before RDAs were commonplace, the REO was used with cartomizers and bottom-feed 510 atomizers like the HH.357. There's still plenty of folks out there who, for whatever reason, don't rebuild and continue to use these products.

Hopefully one of them will chime in and point you in the right direction.

You need your choice of REO. A regular Grand is a great starter.

You will need batteries. The Grand takes a 18650 size. AW IMR 1600mAh is recommended.

You will need a charger if you do not have one for the battery used.

You can use atomizers or cartomizers on your REO. As long as it is a 510 connection it will work fine.

Fill up the bottle with your favorite juice and you are all set.

There are accessories that can be purchased also. A button cover makes the button feel nicer and most want one.

Hope this is what you meant!

What's to build? You read directions, fill bottle 3/4 with juice, slap in 18650 bat and go.

I used my Nautilus on it for about a week before I got up the courage to coil the RM2 I ordered with my REO LP.

Wasn't hard at all, had it going on 1st shot and the difference in flavor was amazing RDA compared to tank.

Ok Spooky.

That tells me you'll need, Batteries and a charger. You can get these from RTD vapor, they have a great reputation.

The regular Reo Grand with some regular atomizers to start since you don't want to build. For Atomizers look for something like these LR510 Low Resistance Atomizer 1.8 ohm (Cisco Spec) - Avid Vaper These will have better flavor than tanks on an MVP.

Most everyone agrees that rebuilding provides a better vape and is much easier to do than it seems before you try. So I strongly recommend a Reomizer to go with your REO.

Best advice you could get, right there ^^^

Rebuilding sounds daunting and only for advanced vapers. We all felt that way at one time. If you get a reo, get to know how great it is with a non-rebuildable atty (not a carto, not a tank), hang out in here to ask questions and learn about building for the RM2, you'll be in vaping heaven in no time at all. It sounds complicated. It isn't, as many I've-never-built-anything-before people in here can attest.

I would call Rob and talk to him about it. He can most likely point you in the right direction of the atomizers you prefer, and which website to buy from as well.

I was the same way at one point. I didn't want to get into RBA's (didn't even know what the term meant) But that changed one night when I was using a Protank. I wanted to try out some new juice, and inserted a new replacement head into the Protank (Evod replacement heads are the same). I got an unforgettable disgusting taste. The heads apparently had machine oils in them... which left a very nasty taste. I tried another replacement head, and discovered it to be the same way. The whole 5pck replacement heads were contaminated with machine oil, and $5.99 was wasted. The place I purchased them from DID replace them with a new pack, but I didn't use them.

That story may not change your mind, but it does bring a realization that some manufacturers replacement heads are not clean. Oh yea, sure... they recommend soaking the heads in Everclear pure grain alcohol to sterilize them, and even dry burning the coils to burn off machine oils. But it's just not worth it. IF you have to do all that, then you're much better off learning to rebuild. It's very easy to do. All you do is... get Kanthal wire; wrap it a few times around a drill bit to make the coil. And after screwing down the coil to your RBA ...insert some cotton; saturate it with juice and enjoy a really good, clean vaping experience. It's much cheaper rebuilding as well.

Rebuilding is not hard to do. When you get passed the learning curb, it's all straight away. There's plenty of people in Reoville that will guide you in the right direction. We will have you making coils in no time!!

I was holding on to my HH.357's for a long time. They give great flavor and vapor on a Reo. The main thing that pushed me into RBA's was the price tag on those HH.357's. For the price of 2 I could get an RM2 and just rebuild my coils. I don't regret moving away from them. Love my RM2 and my Cyclone.

Boy,....you're not kidding are you? I didn't realize HH.357's were that high. ($21.99 - $24.99 EACH). I nearly fell out of my seat.

I'll just stick to rebuilding the RM2. It's a happy place to be. Much cheaper too. :thumb:

Not to mention rebuilding quickly becomes fun for a lot of us. it's a lot of fun :)
Yeap. Lots of fun. I made many last night testing out new ohm setting. Made a few crappy coils trying the two wire coil. No big deal. Just tossed the ones that didn't work in the trash, and made new ones.

There really is nothing to rebuilding the rm2. I am proof. :D If you are not ready to build your own, Fasttech has a great price for pre-made coils that have use to use and was completely satisfied. Still use then in the igo-L's. You really can't go wrong with a reo as far as I am concerned. Good luck to you.

3 years ago I started vaping with a crappy cig alike. Quickly moved to an ego. Started getting VERY frustrated by the constant tinkering and fiddling and needing a bag of supplies to carry around everywhere. I did my research, and found the perfect machine, a REO Grand. Fill a bottle once a day, change a battery once a day, no junk to carry around. I was sold. It even carried the added bonus of being able to use the best atty available back then - a 510LR, which I had a ton of from my ego. I bought it and never looked back....until a week ago...my attys (same ones from 3 years ago) have been getting annoying. I came here and asked a bunch of similar questions, then went for it. I'm not kidding when I say this- I am the absolute LEAST mechanically inclined person you'd ever meet. And I did it. First try. Been using it for a week. Easy cheesy lemon squeezy. Tonight I'm going to build my 2nd coil, because this one has a screwy spot that's hard to stuff a wick into. If this one works out, I'm probably going to just go with that one for a month or two.

If you are looking for a machine that is designed to be less hassle than other ones, this is what you need. Still don't want to try an rba? Buy some 510s. The REO won't be an issue. It just works.
