Oh my goodness, I was wondering. I saw this done on a youtube REO video and wondered.

So stopped at the B&M, they were VERY interested to see and hold onto my REO. Of course they didn't have any bottom wicking attys, but they had a guy who I spoke to who will build me some coils and eventually when I'm ready teach me how to do it myself. (Very visual learner and yeah, I know, YouTube.)

Is Rob no longer selling the RM2s(?)? In which case I need to find a good solid, not too expensive and one that I'll be able to rebuild. Suggestions? I'd sort of prefer USA made or at least not have to wait for it to come from China.

I give, watching videos, especially Robs. I'll build em myself.

Sigh.

You won't be sorry, it really is as easy as it looks. And the difference in the vape is, well, incredible! Once you've vaped an rba, nothing else even comes close. And, it's WAY cheaper than attys/cartos :)

So, I just got the Loki Odin RDA Bottom Feed. I'm guessing my Grand needs to go back to Rob because I didn't get the LP?

Yup. It needs to go back. "If your gonna put a 10 pound atty on your mod your mod needs a hair cut" - Robert E. O'niel 9/2014.

When you try the RM2, you may just forget about the Odin... that is - unless you're going to do dual coil. Just in case you didn't know, ...some folks are learning to dual coil the RM2.

Someone mentioned Noalox above. Here is the bottle you'll need... (HOME DEPOT) (LOWES). This bottle would last you, ohhhhh, probably 10 years. :)

Btw, you made the right choice going to RBA's. All you'll be doing is making coils, and stringing cotton (KGD) through it. Simple. You'll be a pro at it in no time. But the most significant choice you made... was getting a Reo Grand. Many will agree that nothing on earth beats a Reo Grand with an RBA on top.

As far as making coils go, here's a good link where some folks are doing a Homemade Wrapping Tool. I made something similar to the first picture, and can make perfect coils now.

I'm using the artistic wire gizmo but though the coils come out nice and tight i still get hot legs sometimes. I think I'm bad at mounting coils. probably the hardest part to get right for me. but once a good coil lands it vapes and vapes :vapor:
have you tried running the gizmo pin back through the coil after glowing and squeezing?

yeah, I run it through a few times. My most recent coil--made today using the gizmo with nut/bolt/washer setup - had a glowing leg (approx half of one leg and the half glowing is nearest the coil). It is vaping fine so just going with it for the moment. tomorrow night/Sunday when I'm off I want to get perfect coils though

I just shot a new vid on Odin tips / tricks but just didn't have time to upload it to YouTube yet. It covers proper coil position for best vape, how to properly wick to avoid juice running out the airhole and other tips to help you get the most out of this awesome atty.

I filmed the full start to finish build too and included it at the end sped up 4.8 times normal speed. There you will see how I get rid of hotspots like the beast states above.

I'll post the vid later tonight :)

I love your vids--recommend 'em all the time, rewatch many of them just for fun :)

Thank you! I love making them. Especially with the new camera and PC software. I'm learning it ( the software ) as I go. It's quite powerful and has lots more tools to produce pro quality (I'm far from a pro) vids than what I was doing with my iPhone 5.

Uploading the new one right now :)

Likewise . . . However, each time that I one of X's vids, I end up buying something.

The 2nd Reo will be my own doing, but I saw another goodie box in his vids, which I must have, now.
