Hey everyone, over the past couple years, I've tried a few freinds' e-cigs, and I enjoy them! A couple weeks ago, I bought a disposable Blu from Walgreens, and while it didn't last that long, I really liked it and it helped me smoke actual cigarettes much less (and allowed me to smoke in my non-smoking residence!)

But I have a more urgent question, to be completely honest! Right now, I'm looking at mainly the Volt, the Halo G6, and the Colibri Nano by ePuffer. Overall, I'm looking for an e-cig that doesn't leak or drip, and is the smallest e-cig for the value (carrying a USB e-cig charger on top of my I-phone USB car charger is no problem for me, as long as it works!), and responsive customer service in case my e-cig has a problem.

Overall, the Colibri Nano is interesting because it's TINY and it's exactly what I'm looking for in terms of size (the length of, for example, a disposable Blu I had makes it feel very akward for me, both in the hand and socially), but I've read horrible things on here about ePuffer's customer service (and I don't have $30 to waste!). Volt seems to have great reviews by all the pro members on here, and if I order before midnight tonight (which is why this post is so important!), I get a 20% for them! Lastly, I've heard amazing things about the build quality of the Halo G6.

Does anyone have any experiences with these brands (or any alternatives) I may enjoy. Also, does anyone know the length of a Blu Disposable? The Disposable was just a bit too long for my tastes, wondering if the Volt or G6 is longer or shorter (they're both 105mm). The Nano is 85mm I believe. And if there's any alternatives, please share!

P.S. I am truly sorry for posting a 'Which E-Cig?' post, just this 20% discount has me all flustered :2c:

You will outgrow the cigarette sized units very quickly. The battery life just isn't good enough to make them viable for all day everyday use. Of the ones you mentioned, the Volt probably has the biggest fan base and with the new X2 batteries can perform quite well. My work carry (I need something small as well) is an eGo 650 mah as it fits in my pocket just fine and has enough power to work well. As far as discounts go, many vendors on this site offer discounts all the time.

Here's a value priced kit from a vendor in GA:

SVC Riva/Ego 510 Starter Kit - $32.99 : Stormys Vapor Cellar, Electronic Cigarettes & More

Welcome MJ! First, I haven't used any of these myself. I'm currently vaping V2 while I wait for my E-power kit to arrive. That said, one thing you need to know: the smaller the device, the smaller the battery. The smaller the battery, the shorter the life. This means that whatever you choose, you'll need at least 2 batteries, preferably 3. The charge life on one of these batteries is generally only a couple of hours of consistent vaping, so get used to having 1 to vape and 1 on the charger most of the time. The reason 3 is better is simple; when (notice I said when, not if) one of the batteries dies, you will still have 2 to use. I got my V2 kit 3 weeks ago; I ordered an additional battery. Yesterday, one of the batteries died. See my point? As to which one to get? Personally, since you've got a 20% discount, I'd get the Volt. That seems to be the best of the lot, as far as the people on the forum say. Be warned: you will likely get a bunch of advice saying: don't get any of them, get something better. If you really, really want the smallest device, stick to your guns. You might do what I've done and upgrade rather quickly; you might not. Anyway, good luck, and enjoy!

See what I mean? LOL. Bar, I agree that V2 has great customer service. However, their shipping sucks. I place an order on Monday; it takes them until Wednesday or Thursday to fill it. I have yet to get an order from them in less than 8 days, even when I choose 3day shipping from UPS. And it's not like I'm ordering custom juice from one of the boutique vapor sites; I'm talkiing prefilled cartridges, etc.

Good one, Elvapo. Sometimes I think our addiction isn't so much to nicotine, but to all the shiny toys we can get to satisfy the addiction. One nice thing about the kits like the Volt: once you get the kit (and the extra battery), all you need to spend money on is refills. And yes, I know if you clean and refill your cartos, etc. it might be cheaper than the refills, we seem to have a tendency to want more: find the best carto or tank; find that perfect juice, etc. It's like the old saying: The only difference between men and boys is how much their toys cost.

Ego 1000 mAh was the closest to a cig a like I did and that didn't last my work day so I pretty much went straight to 18650 Mods. Even then I normally carry 2.

Just bought a 510 kit for the wife to go with her ProVari Mini that she isn't using as my final attempt to drag her in. Actually took one into work yesterday. Lasted 4 hours. I would need 3 to get me through the day with a couple of cartomizers giving substandard vapes compares to the Mods.

Have to wear a suite a couple of times a week and have no hassles.

Good luck in your quest. As long as you are happy go for it.

One other option I must ask really quick - the truth is that it's going to be tough for me to shop online because my address is never really stable and it's always on and off when I know if I'll have a stable place for things to ship to. Has anyone had any good experiences with cheap old gas-station e-cigs? Any brands/traits/things to look for in them?

I mean, if my memory's correct, I just saw a kit at one at my local truck stops for $15, with cartomizers at $5 I believe (not sure). It really would be a money saver til I get back on my feet, and convienient.

Although I don't have any experience with gas station brands, I've only heard bad things about their quality. I do have a volt from smokeless image. I got mine 2 days after I ordered. If small size is important to you, they offer 65mm batteries, which is about as close to a reg size cig that I've seen. As other people have stated, smaller size means less battery life. However, I always use one while the other is charging, so it hasn't been an issue for me. If you want to go really basic, you can get one battery, charger, and 2 carts for 15.95 at smokelessimage (after discount). Of course, you won't have anything to use while that one is charging. The voltmom (20% off) lasts until midnight Sunday.

I started out with the gas station disposable myself, it lasted me 3 days before I was looking for something else though I was analog free those 3 days so it served its purpose, and I could have continued with them had I not found a "Vape Shop" less than 6 blocks away from me that recently opened. So yes until it is convenient you can stick with them.

I still haven't made a purchase - every time I turn around, I find some new price on another brand that tempts me, or something bad about a brand that I didn't know. It's just tough.

Basically, to be completely honest, I was "satisfied" with my Blu Disposable, which I'm guessing was 16mL (as that's as high as Blu goes on its website). Amazing flavor, pretty decent vapor amount (not as much as some, probably owing to a different glycynol-base or whatever being used), it was a bit weight/size heavy, a slightly a bit too big to pull out socially (at my age), and really did not hardly do a thing concerning nicotine - I've smoked for more than a year now, so I'm not sure 16mL would do it.

But when it comes down to it, I know that a 24mL level is probably all I need, and that I do want to sacrifice battery power and "the most vapor ever" in exchange for having a very small e-cig (preferrably no longer than real life "long" cigs) that, at my age (I'll go ahead and say it: 21) doesn't look so weird at a party (which is where I smoke the most because it helps me feel better when I drink!). For both cost and simplicity, I wouldn't mind a 2-part system instead of a 3-part, but I want whatever is the absolute easiest to clean (meaning... rarely have to/the most clogged parts just get thrown away anyway). I definately want it to be black with a blue LED, and I'd hope for a car charger + total e-cig + cartomizer package for at most $25. Most of all, I truly want there to be a lot of flavors in the cartimizer selections themelves, as I probably won't get into dripping for a long time....

Sucks that I haven't found all that in one yet.

You won't find anything worth wasting your money on for $25 for a complete kit. Sorry. The Volt is your best bet. They have some of the smallest batteries going. Their shipping is fast and their juice is on par with that piece of junk called a Blu. In fact, it's made in the same juice factory. The only thing lacking is the stupid light on the end. I don't believe they have that, because they are made for people who have done a little research and aren't buying on impulse.

I smoked for 40 years, 3 packs a day. 24mg did it for me. I don't think you'll have a problem with 16 or 18mg.

I'll be honest here. I absolutely HATE e-cigs that look anything like a cigarette. Their overall poor performance and short battery life has probably turned more people off to vaping, and sent them back to smoking, than anyone can imagine. If you get 2 little batteries and you smoke more than 1/2 pack a day, you WILL one day find yourself with a dead battery and you WILL go looking for cigarettes.

That said, if you absolutely must have an e-cig that looks like a cigarette, there are only about 4 or 5 models, out of a thousand, that aren't total pieces O' crap. The Volt is one. The Bloog, Smoove and Halo G-6 are three more. None of them are going to be available for $25. The 20% discount for the Volt is an outstanding deal. You have a little time left, so I'd strongly suggest you bite the bullet and go for it. You can always get juice and cartridges locally if ordering online will be a problem. But don't waste your time with gas station or drugstore garbage.

I started with a cig2o brand and its still going strong while one of my halo g6 batteries stopped working after 2 months. I bought it at a tobacco outlet. It looks just like a real cig too. The batteries only last 2 or 3 hours tho. I got 2 batts 2 usb chargers and 4 prefilled cartomizers for 40 bucks. A little high in cost but nice to just walk in to a store and buy it.

If you want an inexpensive setup, go to vaporgod.com, they have black with blue led 4081 batteries for $5 each, a USB charger for $3, and prefilled cartos 5 for $3 - or empties 5 for $8 and you could buy a bottle of juice at a higher strength. I have used all of the above, and I haven't had any problems with this super-cheap setup. Plus, they have a mothers day code for their juice right now. And they have always been fast to ship to me.

Wow, I wish I looked on VaporGod.com a few days earlier!!!

Not a BIG loss though because I just bought a kit from Revolver.com for only $10, they're a seemingly great company with great reviews and the sales guys gave me some huge discounts ($16 dollars worth of points) and they're still going to give me pretty big percentage coupons and more points if I do things like reviews and facebook links and all that. But the sucky thing about them is while their products are all quite cheap, their shipping is $5!!! which is pretty bad. So I think I'll just get the VaporGod stuff with my next order (either I'll be spending $12 bucks on a cartilage box from Revolver or $12 for a brand new kit from VaporGod) so it shouldn't be really that big a waste. Plus, VaporGod's cartilages go up to 32ml!!!! Wow!!! (but not for the cheapest cig model :/)

But overall, I do think that for many users, sometimes these cheapo ones are fine; you just have to be smart about the prices, company, and all that. If you want to shop cheap, don't settle for paying $30-$70 dollars for what you know will be a so-so product. Do your research and get that so-so product for $5-10 with discounts applied (on Revolver [amazing website and customer service] or VaporGod above looks very nice too), or even buy a $10 gas station one. Personally, I do indeed fret over $20-$30 because I'm really dang poor, but $10 isn't a big deal to me (unless I literally threw it out the window like I did on a Blu disposable...) That's just what I have to freely spend and the Blu disposable was "fine" to me, so I figure this 10$ Revolver kit can't be any worse than that mess. And if that's the case, then I'll be fine for quite a long time.

It's also really that I'm really a very weird smoker. Used to, I liked smoking because cigs would literally get me a "feel good high", and I was able to get that reaction for quite a few months - during that time, I'd probably smoke 4 a day on every other day of the week. Because I can't smoke at my place of residence (inside or out), my smoking schedule is just weird and I'm used to going days without anything. But then, cigs stopped giving me a buzz (around when the horrid new "glue law" took effect) and cigs never gave me a buzz again, and just got nasty and only made me feel "tired/low hazy" at most. Now I usually only smoke when I drink (which is about once every few days) and I'll pretty much chain smoke while drinking cuz it helps me balance the alcohol feeling. I'm just not really addicted to cigarettes at all, I smoke just when I randomly need it, so if a battery dies, I'll either just plug it up and do something else or bum a cig, it's no biggie.

That's not to say I eventually won't want to upgrade/change brands/do everything else. Just, it'll be a good minute before I do unless Revolver's product doesn't put out anything more than thin air (and I've seen good review videos for it, it seems to put out a pretty dang good deal of vapor - enough for me) and when I want to upgrade, I know plenty of people who'd want to buy it off me (as they can put their sign-up Revolver discount codes and points toward the cartilages, not having to waste them on a kit) and I could probably make a good $10 in selling it (and little would they know that $10 is all I paid for it!). But yeah, something small really is my top priority for now, and eventually, especially when I make more money, having an e-cig with a lot of battery power, liquid space, and a mouthful of vapor to it would be good for around the house (I can easily imagine that all that = heaven) just, for what I'm looking for right now, it seems $10 was a good price.

The Volt is my pick,I guess b/c I'm a newbie and like the feel of it. Everything is so mind boggling at first I know, still is to me
and all I can do is tell you how I made my choice. What I did was looked at the Vendor banners on ECF,looked at the reviews
the demonstration videos if they had those since I am a technically challenged person, and asked the vendors questions when I found something that appealed to me. There is a thread here for Volts if you think you are interested in them.
