My goodness it's been so long since I've posted anything in ECF. Anyways, the deal is since I've started vaping I've moved to a mod...an Indulgence at HV. My favorite atty is the HV 901 and sometimes I use a HV 510 and I always drip. I've been using the same three sets of batteries in rotation for over a year and a half so I'm sure my 6v device is really now at 5.5V or maybe even less. The thing is I like a good thoat hit.

I started looking into different setups and I am thinking about getting a VV mod, like the ProVari. But before that happens, I wanted to try a cartomizer with a tank. But what do you guys think?

Does a dual coil cartomizer provide the same throat hit as say 'a HV 901 atty'?

I know Madvapes sells cartomizers at different Ohm ratings, and I just wanted some opinions on them before I buy.

Thanks, and Happy vaping.

OK I will try them...I just hope they can give the same TH satisfaction. I'm guessing the higher the ohms the better the TH? I've read a couple of places where you can't go higher than like a 4.7 on a VV mod with lower ohms.

...it really depends on the amp handling capacity of the mod...I am using an EverCool box mod...the chip will handle 10amps...way more than I will ever need...it out puts a max of 6v...using the 1.5ohm dccs @5v, it is pulling 3.3amps @ 16.6watts... it makes for great TH and the vape is warm enough to immediately feel it thru a metal drip tip...with dccs, I think around 2ohms would be about best(maybe)...my only complaint is, it uses juice like water thru a hose and of course, cuts significantly into batt life..........

p.s. a tank seems almost mandatory to keep up with the juice usage...and mods like a ProVari or LavaTube are limited to around 2.5amps and shut down or self adjust to lower the voltage when those amp levels are reached/exceeded...FYI 5v@2ohms is 2.5amps @ 12.5watts........mj

Madjack said it all best. My oopinion mirrors his. If you're going VV, go with the 2 or 2.5ohm DCCs. I liked the 2ohm tank replacement DCC from Madvapes the best. Already drilled. Have a shoulder for the tank to stop on. Try a BigDaddyVapor SS DCT. Looks really nice, too! Good luck with whatevr you choose!
