Looks like the ProVari may have a rival.

What is it?
Also, didn't we all learn that certain things can't fit on a provari like a Stardust without an adapter?

I never learned that I guess... The Stardust has an eGo connector, not a standard 510. I wouldn't expect an eGo atomizer to fit it any more than I would expect a 901 atomizer to fit without an adapter.

PWM is NOT a bad thing. Just people not understanding it properly. 90% of non-mechanical mods use PWM in some form.

I am not going to say they don't, as well if no one used it then there couldn't be so many complaining about it, and if others want to give it a go more power to ya, but I don't feel like messing with something that so many have had bad luck with already.

Understood. I just meant to say that some chinese knockoff will do a bad job of PWM, but that doesn't automatically mean PWM is bad.

In fact, check THIS out. From the website of the Provari, one of the most popular VV mods on the market, many consider it to be THE top of the line.

Does the ProVari use PWM? (pulse-width modulation)

Yes, the ProVari is using PWM technology

Good points, but it is my understanding the open ring around the connection makes it so a Stardust is allowed without an adapter, kind of innovative from my perspective. Also the vent holes on the cap are an interesting design concept as is the updated look of the device. The good news is VaporBeast will likely read this thread and make some changes so people understand some of the more important features.

Hmmm I guess you could be right. The hole around the top could fit the cone threads but there is no way to see inside. They should clarify it or light it up and take a picture inside.

The Stardust doesn't connect to the 510 connection it connects to the cone threads of an ego battery. The Provari doesn't have these threads without an adapter (which is quite pricey considering what it is) so putting one on a stock Provari is impossible. Not that I'd ever use a Stardust on a Provari anyway. I consider them to be inferior to the Vivi Nova.

I went for my Stardust tank tonight and misplaced my adaptor for my Provari and could not use it. The design on the VARIO will address that issue. I would not expect this device to be a Provari killer but hopefully a nice option for those wanting a VV device. I personally REALLY LOVE the design of the Vario. My first thought was... holy sh-t, that thing looks amazing! Of course...what appeals to me may not be liked by others. I like the chrome and paint combo! I thought it was interesting shagaNinja that you thought the name VARIO sucked, as my first impression was extremely positive. I sure wish VaporBeast luck with this device and hope it's reliable and well built! The good news is VaporBeast stands behind everything they sell...so I will have no hesitation giving it a try!

Finally, thank you!

I will further this statement and say that 100% of all switching VV mods use PWM. Even the precious Provari. People get wrapped around the axle with some mods because the number on the display does feel like what they are actually vaping. Does that take away from the quatily of the vape? Is it less capable of satisfying you need for nicotine? Get over it already. I don't vape a number. I vape a taste. I thought that was the whole point of VV???? ADJUST TO TASTE!

Do some research on the advantages of PWM. Here's one for starters: battery drain.

One more thing...PWM is not to blame for poor performance of past mods. Poor design and poor execution is to blame. Proper design and proper execution (ie:proVari) make for great performance. If you can get the same performance for a fraction of the price then the rest is just a question of durability.

Cmon guys...its a VMax in another form factor...whats the big deal about this? Provari killer...not at all! The provari is made by Provape, this is made in bulk by a Chinese company...which will be available to every vendor. This is the exact same post that was started by people talking about the Lavatube and the VMax...get over it...its not a Provari...nor will they ever be.

No big deal...just another reiteration of a battery in a tube. It will accommodate a Stardust without an adapter (very cool) and the device looks Amazing! My Provari is my favorite, but I see no issues with updated designs and choices for all of us! Keeps things interesting. People often ask me what makes a good wine? As a wine snob, I could say two buck chuck sucks, but in reality a good wine is a wine that you like. PV's are much the same! None would argue a Kia is better then a Lexus, but an argument can be made that the Kia is good, and may better meet the needs of certain buyers! Manufactures do not have to be the best to be appealing in the marketplace or fulfill a need!
