No apologies needed, it was my mistake.
I understand where Willie is coming from since I did art, and many shows until my husband got cancer.
I had to give up the shows since I couldn't set it up by myself, and I killed my web page.
    I do miss my "hobby"
Willie is right, and I never copied anyones elses art, but I did collect photos to draw inspiration from.
Thank you for being so gracious.

Well, I quit asking vape questions once I learned everything I needed to know :p
I've been stocked since 2016. Since I've cut my nic, I'm good til I'm over 150
But I still try to keep up with what's going on (lurking)

Hi sweetie, I still keep track of you here and "there"... when are you coming back up this way ??
I'll hang around and "lurk", but I think I'll keep my mouth shut for now.
You’ve been missed, Slots.:) I don’t recall seeing you around for a long time. I’m sorry about your husband. I lost mine to cancer mid January.

Jack was just a tiny little guy when he earned his name. Little Orange kitten was bouncing around the kitchen as kittens are wont to do, and had climbed up into a window to do his bouncing and pouncing. At the time, I had one of those bullet style trash cans with the door flap on it to keep the dog (RIP) from retrieving things that had been thrown away. I'm sure you all can see where this is going, but little Jack, being all inexperienced and such, was happily bouncing along the furnishings in front of the window when his next leap landed a little off-kilter on top of that bullet trash can and little Jack, the orange kitten, vanished!

Fortunately, I witnessed his unfortunate event, and was able to quickly rescue the wee beastie from the depths of the recycle bin. Hence, he is now known as "Jumpin Jack Flash" (sing it with me now) in the Trash Trash Trash.

    :D

Oh geez, that is too funny! And the way you wrote about it was perfect! I've always thought orange cats may not be as interesting looking as some others can be, but they (males) usually have very friendly personalities.

    @rosesense

Did he say how sick? Like fluey? We plan to get ours Monday since we have nothing going on for a couple days after that but I'd like to know what to expect.

You mean the Shingrix? Just a little like the flu. Certainly not enough to stay in bed. Tylenol helped a lot.

@cats5365 aren't male orange kitties the best? Of all the cats I've shared my home with the two that stole my heart were both orange. This is my last one. His name is Peaty. He has several medical issues including severe arthritis in his neck, shoulders and hips. He gets the max gabapentin possible and it keeps him pretty comfortable so has quality of life but if it gets worse…He is so wonderful. I adore him

Yes they are. We had one show up here several weeks ago. Very friendly as orange cats tend to be, but definitely looked sick which was the only reason I didn't pick him up. I felt sorry for him so gave him some water and soft canned food. We did find the owner who was so happy to have "Scraps" back that he actually started to cry! Turns out Scraps was 21-1/2 years old! And yes, he was sick and had been on meds for quite awhile. Obviously his family adored him too.

My apologies to everyone, I have not been on this thread (yes, I lurk) however I read you're request for photos that are originally taken by the individual. I don't mind being put at the bottom of the list. However, I would love to see how you would paint this. It's a dark picture and very open to your artistic eye. I hope someday to see how you paint it.
Love all the photos all of you posted  . I'll be back to give the Love button pokes ;) . Right now I'm on tapatalk and all the option I have is a Like button to poke.

It's funny how Public Events such as Concerts / Sporting Events / Outdoor Fests, etc, have changed over the years .. used to, you presented a paper ticket, they tore it in half and you walked in with whatever "substance" you might have .. people raised lighters at a show in appreciation and it could be a sea of Zippos / Bics .. you'd light up if you wanted to and a certain aroma would drift through the air .. now, they raise a phone flashlight ..

Now, it's metal detectors, clear plastic totes, sometimes a sniffing dog, etc ..

    Evolution or de-Volution .. ?? You decide ..

he, he ... I was even 'wanded down' going to a Cirque du Soleil show.

@Slots ... just as long as you let your fingers do the talking you can keep your mouth shut ... just no lurking ... that's not acceptable. :D

    Good morning everyone! :)

I'm getting ready to go to the airport. A friend of mine is flying me to Tennessee to see her. She's severely agoraphobic so I probably won't go anywhere in Nashville but it'll be good to see her again in person.

    Hola .. :)

And, I'll join you in the Corner and add icing to the Cake by wearing my Ceremonial Dunce Cap ..

From the "Temperamental Impulsivity" File ..

Many years ago, after I had gotten out of the Military, I took my first wife out to a nice Restaurant for some occasion, of which I can't even remember .. at any rate, she was wearing Daisy Dukes at the time and as we exited, two dudes were behind us walking out as well .. one of them said, very much clearly enough for me to hear "Nice .... (it was not .... he used) on that one .." .. without a second of hesitation, I turned around and decked the guy with a right hook to his jaw .. he hit the ground as his buddy stood there with his mouth open .. at which point I yelled something like "Come on, what ya gonna do .. ??", we stood there for a minute, nothing ensued, so we left .. I figured I'd get pulled over by the 5 / 0 shortly, but nothing happened .. different World, different Times ..

Now, my "Temperamental Impulsivity" has mellowed out over the years quite a lot, yet, there are still rare times it bubbles to the surface .. not in a violent way, mind you, age and general body deterioration would dissuade me from entering a physical confrontation even with the proverbial 120 LB milk toast .. .. as said milk toast would likely "clean my plow" ..

To be clear, I never condoned physical violence, I never laid a mean hand on a Woman .. (well, there was that one drunken time I did and she then beat the snot out of me and I let her .. o_O .. that's a story for a another time) ..

We all tote Character Flaws .. in my case, I learned to fight at an early age, because in my early years, I always drifted towards the Arts, and, because of the Machismo culture of those long ago days, it was tough to avoid getting picked on by other guys and I decided I was just not going to take it ..

So, there you have it .. one of the many Character Flaws I own ..
