My insurance paid for mine. My friend also bought me another one from Amazon that was very affordable. I don't know the name of it since I'm not at home but I'll let you know when I return or if I find it in her orders from Amazon. It helps my back and my knees. Best device I've ever gotten from my drs.

I think dome of you have mentioned in the past that you use TENS for your back pain. I have an elderly friend who needs help for his back pain so I'm doing the research for him.

When I googled it I saw that that costs are all over the place so I'm asking for opinions on which unit you recommend and what cost is reasonable.
I'd go with Anise's suggestion. There are many affordable units, most of which are good, but I would go with someone who has used a specific brand. My partner uses a Tens 7000, which she loves and it runs about $27.00 on Amazon. Hope you find something that works for him. Has he had his back checked?

Have a great evening, Free Thinkers, Misfits and Lizards :)

Night Kat! What time zone are you in? I've been trying to figure out if you just keep strange hours or if its your time zone :D
Rofl......strange hours, not by choice. I'm in Eastern...but, I don't go to bed now. We have family time, and either play a game, or watch a show, then I do some reading, then sleep. In the summer, we spend evenings on the screened in deck. HOWEVER, my body is ready for sleep at 9 and it wakes up between 5 and 5:30. Would much prefer to make it til 10 or 11 and sleep until 7. But, the body refuses to cooperate.

Thanks Anise and Katmar. I'll look up that unit on Amazon and pass it on to my friend. And yes he's had his back checked. But he's 88 years old and has that typical overly large belly that some men get which make them walk leaning backwards kind of like when women are pregnant. That puts strain on his back.

    Thanks again.

I had one that the insurance paid for several years ago that I've since given to my daughter. Can't remember the name of it. Then, on a Deal of the Day tip from Uncle Willie, I got a MiroPure that was less than $20 that worked just as well for me. I think they're basically the same for home use so just pick one that has easy to understand controls. The leads and pads last a long time, but should you need to replace them you don't have to get them from the same company as the unit, you can just buy them on their own. I never travel without my TENS just in case.

Good morning Kat and Yiddle. After a very rainy morning yesterday, it did clear up enough after lunch to take the grandkids around to the businesses in town. Every year they have a day where they hand out treats to the little ones and we get to see the clever costumes. Due to the rain most people stayed home which was sad, but our kids had a great time anyway. They got plenty enough candy!

    G'mornin, Loungers! :)

We spent the day visiting yesterday, so wasn't on line much at all. Had a bit of travel time, so when we got home, my man fell promptly asleep and I followed shortly afterwards...
No concrete plans for today, and don't think I'll make any either......:)
