Good morning everyone...:)

Yes! It felt like coming home...:)
In addition to all of the original work, many of the artists also had prints, and cards printed with their work for sale. One booth we stopped at, the artist must have had over 100 different paintings that had been printed on heavy cards, like trading cards, for very little money. My daughter told my grandson that he could choose 5 of them and she would get them for him. When she tried to pay, the artist refused to take any money, as he was so delighted to see a young person there. He just told my grandson to choose as many as he liked and they were his to have.

I hadn't really noticed until then, but the only other young one there was the son, about 8 or 9 years old, of the artist who created Old Scratch. I have to wonder why...the price of admission was comparable to going to a movie. Such a shame that there weren't more who could come and experience the wonders that imagination can create.
My grandson would have loved it! He's very creative!
Old school here too, maybe not as old school as you, but I still use EVODs and such... :)

I never understood how women could function with long, curly nails! I like to keep them shorter cuz of my work (which is not happening much right now) and working with the dogs. Easy to snap off a long nail (ouch!!) while training (not withstanding getting one bitten off!). Actually, I am happier loosing part of my thumb than if Tasha had died because I couldn't save her. Thanks to my skilled hand Doctor, I will be more functional than I ever dreamed I would be! Once healed, I will be back to my regular work.
That's wonderful to hear!

And, the part about long nails? I always wondered how women with really, really long nails wiped their . . . noses?
I walked to the library and a store and walked home. A real victory!! Got another two Ruth Rendell books. Was excited to discover that one of the new ones was a continuation of one of the ones I had already read. How they unravel the mystery of what had happened in the first book. I refuse to look ahead to see if they find Francine.
Sounds like you're doing great! I'm very happy for you. Keep it up!

I've been nursing boo boos today. Yesterday out in the back yard I found a hole  the hard way. I rolled my ankle and went down hard :censored:. Thank goodness we have been having rain as of late and the ground has softened up. Ankle is fine but pulled something in the top of my left foot, both knees bruised, a sore left wrist and right elbow. My back is a bit unhappy too. The good part is I am such a klutz that I have learned from experience just to cover my face and don't try to break the fall (that's how things get torn and bones get broken). Hubs has decided  it might be a good idea to see about getting a scoop of fill dirt and start filling in some of the holes in the yard. (something I suggested to him last spring):glare:
I'm so sorry that's what it took to get the holes filled! Please, take it easy and heal!

And then there is the Project Gutenberg (Project Gutenberg). That group offers free ebooks whose copyright has expired. I had such fun reading some old cookbooks...the things they ate and the way they cooked them is unreal. And that group is near and dear to my heart...I am a volunteer proofreader for their ebooks.
Thank you! I just signed up. Wondering if I am too old to learn all their rules. Waiting on feedback from my first 15 pages.

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Nice and crisp here in Fly Over Country .. 50 when I walked out the door this AM .. I'm still wearing cargo shorts because it does not feel that bad .. supposed to get down into the 30's over the next few nights .. I hauled all the outdoor plants into the Garage .. I just can't decide if I will leave them in there over the Winter or not .. I can give them plenty of light from my overhead fixtures .. the Garage is fairly well weather sealed .. normally, I would haul them down to the Basement, but I just dread picking some of those big pots up and going downstairs, as each year passes, it's a tougher job .. decisions, decisions .. o_O

The Weather Prognosticators are saying the Midwest is in for a milder than normal Winter .. but what do they know .. ??

Finally seeing some Fall Color .. :)

I love the idea that I can carry a thousand books on one little tablet
I'm waiting for the chip implanted in your brain and can send the book via BT directly and you can retain all the knowledge. Wouldn't that be something. Anything is possible these days.

@DavidOck Hows the weather over there in Gods country? We are going to have a week of beautiful days. Cold at night just above freezing. Had our furnace checked and should be good for another year. We get the same service guy every year and the old gas furnace is doing great.

I'm waiting for the "Full Brain Upload Into The Cloud" .. where your Brain and all that it contains will live in Perpetuity in a Land of Peace and Love, surrounded by a Perfect World where there is no Judgement, no Hypocrisy, no Class System and no New World Order .. (now why does that sound like a description of Heaven, especially coming from me .. ?? o_O) ..

Just make sure there is a backup Generator, since power could be an issue .. ;)
