You can always do a Nancy Reagan and 'Just Say No' ..

Excellent!!! That's one of my favorite songs.

I saw The Band on 9 July 1976 during their Northern Lights/Southern Cross tour. Awesome concert.

Dang, I hope, with that open trigger, it has a good safety!!
I watched the YouTube on it and it has a great safety. I'd never heard of it before. You half .... it and there are little notches between the ammo. If the barrel is in that position, it is safe to carry because it will not fire. Or that is what the man said. I just like it because I could easily carry it and let's face it, it's cute.
My preference is a 38 police special.
I happen to agree with you. I have dad's revolver that he carried 30 years. I took it to my CC class and the instructor loved it. He knew it was from the 50's because of something he saw. He even asked me if he could shoot it. He said it would be a great one to carry. I am not sure why I am wanting a new one. I guess so it can be just ALL mine.
But I guess it couldn't get too lost if I kept it in my bra.
I could fit it in with the flashlight/phone and still have room for my money.

I found it at one place online but I am going to check some of the places around here first and see if they can order it. I am not really sure other than it's cute and I want one. heehee
Someone on ecf said they would be embarrassed to be shot with my purple glock.
Well, then they better not do anything nefarious. Glocks are on every list I have looked at googling the best CC for women. Even my instructor recommended them. As far as purple. . .

    Morning, all.

Yep, wild and crazy weather, here, there and everywhere...

Back into cold and wet here, although the snow is still staying above us. Thankfully the heavy winds in the guess didn't show up here, only a few small(ish) branches from the latest round.

Uh, why? Do you only use purple bullets? ;)

And yep, I see that carry about the same as packing heat in my front pocket! :nun:

Good morning. Still is morning I see, but it feels like afternoon after all the online house hunting we've been doing. Sigh. The good news is it looks like the the market is opening up!

So, all that talk about not liking to shop... I went out to 2 stores and bought enough summer clothes to last me through a week in Key West. Well, still have to order 2 bathing suits and then I'll be done. This was my kind of shopping. Found all the clothes in about 2 1/2 hours and that included driving time to get there! Bathing suits are another story. Already spent that much time and then some looking online. Can't try them on before buying and even trying suits on and off at home is in itself is a pain, plus they're so expensive! The cheap ones don't last and don't fit as well as the better ones. Oh well, it'll be worth it in the end. I want a Miracle suit - one that takes off 10 lbs and smooths out all the lumps and bumps that didn't used to be there.

It's going to 72 here today!!! The sun is shining with gorgeous blue skies. This is definitely a Spring tease. Tomorrow it'll only get to 48. It feels weird to be happy because of the blizzard conditions in parts of the country, If you live in one, please be careful.

That is exactly what I am looking for.

You don't even want to get me started on the changes losing weight has had on me.

I went back and got 3 more pair of bike shorts for the gym. I liked the first ones so good I figured I better get more before they ran out.

My cousin told me about a place that she buys from all the time and I think it has some wonderful bargains. The bathing suits look really good to me too. It is called Noracora. She loves this website and has been pleased with everything. Give it a try. Let me know what you think if you check it out.

I broke a record on my sleeping last night. I slept for 6 hours and I do not remember waking up one time. It was wonderful. I felt so good this morning, I but on my big girl panties and drove dad's car for the first time. (it is mine now but I still think of it as his) First thing I went to get gas. It has not had gas since 12-15-2021.

It is an old 2009 Impala SS. Of course, it still has the new car smell. Only driven 5730 miles. That's hard to believe. Still has the paper floor mats in it from when dad bought it. The steering wheel has been touched by human hands now because I refuse to wear gloves like dad did. He had black ones for the winter and white ones for the summer.

My girlfriend got in it tonight and got the Bluetooth hooked up to my phone for me. It has lots of buttons that I need to learn what they do but it drives so smooth. I looked down and I was going 10 miles over the speed limit and I had no idea I was going that fast. I guess I will need to use the cruise control til I get used to it.

That is the most excitement I have had in a long time and yes I know it takes very little to excite me.

I am not going to make my mind up right now but I think I will be selling the Honda in the near future. I do not need 3 vehicles and the Honda, even though it gets great gas mileage, still has some unpleasant memories. I just need to drive it a lot more to be sure.

    Hugs to all!

Does that mean you need to buy 3 new pairs of sneakers to color coordinate with the shorts?

    Morning, all.

Looks like the brunt of the latest storm watched the guess last night, and seems to have done it's dump all around us, but not on us :) And actually did break into the (low) 40s yesterday !!

Said to be more of the same, and mid 40s will seem like a heat wave.

Good morning. It's 34 this morning, going up to 46 with rain this afternoon. Sure would be nice to see a little snow. It's been a wet winter with only a few flakes seen that melted on contact.

I got all excited yesterday about a house, but it turned out that there's already been several bids on it, one of which the owner was happy with. Dang it! Evidently she's an elderly woman who was exhausted by the whole house selling situation and refused to let anyone come in yesterday which is the day Zillow had listed appointment times to see it.

We now have 2 realtors. Hopefully we'll be able to have coffee with the 2nd realtor to chat more about what we're looking for. There do seem to be more homes popping up on the listings so maybe we'll find something soon. Fingers crossed.
