It was a good day. When to eat lunch at Applebee's with my ex sister-in-law. They have an delicious Oriental Salad with grilled chicken in it. I loved it. Then we went shopping. I haven't done that in forever. And I did not buy any shoes.

Came to Perry's and we went to the Moose. They had fried flounder with bacon mac&cheese, slaw and hushpuppies. Pretty tasty too. They had a DJ tonight and they were playing old disco and beach music. I enjoyed it but it was not Perry's fav. He held my hand for the first time in public and it only took him 358 days.

It was only for a minute or so. No biggie.

Made another donation at the poker machines. It was sad. I think this made the fifth donation. It was his money so i did not mind. It was fun though. I am not sure but other than the kids, I think I am the only one there that does not drink. I don't mind. They have good sweet tea.

Well that is my exciting day and night. Not bad for me. I did buy a pair of shorts and a couple tee shirts for me and two shirts for Perry. Since I have gained 30 lbs, I need some new summer clothes. It makes me so sad that I cannot wear the cute ones I wore when I was with Ken. Oh well, I am trying to lose it. So much easier (and fun) to put it back on.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Morning, all.

Another nice day here, heading to the low/mid 70s again. Cooler tomorrow, they say, but no rain until either late in the day or overnight, and still saying scattered.

And I did not buy any shoes.

Dang, mark the calendar! :)

Been pretty busy. We made 22 pints of salsa, got both yards looking good, got the 59 Farmall running smoothly, and had a blowout on the highway on the trailer. Glad it was a tandem axle. Perry has a friend that is going to get me a good price on some tires. They were pretty bad so I might as well replace them all. Always something, but that's okay. I do wish dad could have seen and heard it running. Just as smooth as it was when he drove it. farmall.jpg

Hope everyone has a great day!

It actually did clear up yesterday, and is said to be the same for the next couple days as well. Might even get into the mid 70s tomorrow, and where the heck are my sun glasses!

Just as smooth as it was when he drove it. farmall.jpg

Did he always plow in his sunday best? :)

Me all last week.

Unknown.jpg

Woke up last Sunday morning with 103 degree fever. Even with Ibuprofen and Tylenol it remained at 102 until about 10 pm. Then went right back to normal. Slept from 11 pm Saturday night, all day Sunday and Sunday night and woke about 12:30pm on Monday. Only time out of bed was to run to the toilet because of bad .........

Starting making a comeback late Monday and then on Tuesday, still fever free, started to get a bit of an appetite and grazed lightly durning the day. Wednesday woke up, still no fever, but the ........ was back (yuck)!

Off to the doctor Wednesday afternoon. Diagnosis - viral or bacterial intestine infection. No kidding I knew that. No meds prescribed, just wait it out. Blood work came back Thursday ... nothing abnormal. Stool sample results came back Friday and confirmed I had Nora Virus.

Still plenty wiped out feeling but finally starting to mend. I've wanted to lose a few pounds, but this was a hell-of-a-way to do it.

Summer's done for now, back to low 60s, and the Sunday rain has been advanced to tonight.

Yeah, one heck of a crash diet! Don't rush the recovery, but good you're going in the right direction.

Here in Fly Over Land, it's been wet and dreary for over a week and still counting .. about impossible to mow the jungle my yard currently is .. had the deck prepped and ready for the every 3 year stain job and it's still sitting and waiting .. very unusual for this part of the country this time of year, but, of course 'climate change is a hoax' ..

I'd also like to do a Spring detail on the new truck, but no dice on that either ..

Last night's weather guesser said we're in a "yo-yo" pattern, bouncing up and down. Low 60s and scattered rain (it's all been somewhere else recently) for a couple days then mid/upper 70s and sunny for a couple. Repeat...

but, of course 'climate change is a hoax' ..

Yep, and a Chinese hoax. So the tariffs will make it cost more...

Good morning.

Rainy day here today. I've been busy setting up the garden, the compost barrel and buying and repotting plants for the deck. I can sit on the couch and look out the glass sliders onto the back deck and I've been wanting to look out on lots of flowers out there. So, I've been hitting the garden centers. For someone who doesn't like shopping I sure have been doing a lot of it. I'm so looking forward to the landscapers coming to clean up these flower beds out front. It looks so plain out there since we took out the old bushes.

Mike has been pretty sick since right after Easter. Turns out he had the norovirus! Nasty sickness! He's doing much better now. I refused to get it and so far it's worked. Lots of vitamins and pre/probiotics seems to have helped me escape it.

So, we're good now. Hope everyone is enjoying this milder weather.
