BTW, I was busy with the nest earlier--sort of... We have a new hummingbird nest this spring also. In a different place though, hard to take a picture without frightening the mama hummer.![]()
with the exception of Wiz who is a year older, and Zelda who is a year younger than the rest of us - but yeah, like 30 something.... good series btw for a while anyway....![]()

They see all - well most birds doWe have a hummingbird nest in our river birch and a robin's nest as well. I have a real odd thing going on - we have the outer storm/screen door painted with a green paint - (for about 3 years now) and the cardinals and robins love it - they sit on the handle and peck it. I don't know what's in it that they want but ....strange - only do it for about 3 weeks - probably part of nesting. BTW, 'nesting joke' left for you pages back now.....

I saw it... hence my nesting post...
OK, back to work. I'm editing a scientific paper on Vicodin. I'm not kidding you... Can't talk about it though.
And I think I mentioned this in kent's thread once but when setting up and waiting to take pictures of the hummingbirds, what's really nice is that you know they're coming brrrrrrrr like helicopter so you can just sit out there and enjoy the view until you hear that - they love the coral bells.... and movement didn't really affect them much. Gurt, the cat, well that was different - had to put him on the porch for those sessions.....
