I wonder what it means in Indian? Isn't that the name of a tribe?
Don't think so.. but perhaps - lots of Indian names around here. The main tribe was Erie but there were others.
I liked that line in 'The Patriot' where Tavington says to Cornwalis - "tell me about ... Ohio" (in making a deal with him to take out 'Mel'.![]()
Oh, forgot to tell you! My DD just called--she attended Ron Paul's rally at UC Davis last night. 5 thousand students showed up... In California!!!!!!![]()

Drove out toward the beach. There are thousands of bikers in town for some kind of gathering. There are several here each year.
Great for restaurants and hotels. Not so good for traffic though, LOL. And locals, like me, go out to gawk at some awesome machines (adding to the traffic).

Welcome to the Panama City Beach Motorcycle Rally
Found it: From an Iroquoian word meaning “great river”.
So you're from a great river!
Patriot...good movie, lots of Mel influence I think!
Well the story was another good one for him. I liked it alot. And even Mel said he liked it better than Braveheart - 'more family stuff' - but artists almost always do that - they like their last piece bestWe had big discussion on kent's thread on that one...
I detected a theme in Mel starting in Braveheart, a darker look of the world and a messianic sacrificial self portrait, back validated to Lethal Weapon, maybe even Mad Max. It continued into Apocalypto, etc. It tells me about his personality, consistent with that one drunken outburst.
He and Sigourney made a fine, fine couple in The Year of Living Dangerously, another classy movie!
While Lethal Weapons were entertaining - I liked some of the other stuff - Two Faces, What Women Want, BH and The Pat. - but didn't care for Signs or Apocalypto and another one after The Patriot. The Bounty and franklyhis Hamlet was the first time I really understood all the aspects of the story. And better for me than you know who
Sorry.... And really loved Ransom - another that, like Cuckoo's Nest, is hard to watch the reruns even though Cuckoo's was my top film for the longest time - well, until The Patriot
We Were Soldiers was special - I was in the First Cav... and I like almost anything that Sam Elliot is in...
Starry starry starry starry starry starry...night!(just a few billion more to go)
