Yeah, JaG ... not much longer for me either. My office is a wreck ... got into too many project and had to run too many errands.

Sorry, here is the Q I asked in the Vet's Forum for those of you who can't get in yet.

A Question about women's bra size - guys' shirt size

Have any of you ladies or gentlemen noticed your upper body garments fitting more loosely since you quit smoking?

When I was working for an Oregon sheriff’s dept, the sergeant I trained under for self defense tactics made a comment in class that cigarette smokers had barrel chests …… that their lungs swelled and darkened with damage which made their ribs bones stretch to accommodate them.

Secondly, my little Pippin (my Yorkshire terrier) was born with an enlarged heart, and his ribs stretched to accommodate his larger heart. (teeny dog with a broad chest)

So here’s the funny thing: I noticed that now when I get dressed, I have to fasten my bra in its tightest position. So I’m wondering if since I quit smoking a couple of years ago, my lungs have healed back to normal size and the flexible ribs are repositioning to their original placement.

Just curious to see if anyone else has noticed a difference – male or female.

Please and thank you.

Lung capacity increase, that could be it. :)

Goodnight Kent! :)

Thought about that too. DC2 (a personal friend of mine from vape meets) has been vaping 3 yrs, and when he went into his doctor, he had a lung test done, and was jazzed to find out that his lung capacity has improved significantly.

Cigs suppress appetite. By not smoking, maybe we eat more and just got a little thicker? Easier to exercise, so more muscles too. I don't know, but I'd go with Pokey's educated opinion. :)

I gained weight - 25 lbs within 2 yrs.:( I've been working on it to get back to myself. Giving up the meat helps a lot.

Forgot to mention to y'all what happened - the explosions in San Diego last night. Something went wrong, and all the fireworks went off at one time. Thankfully, no injuries or fatalities. it was on CNN, but here's a uTube of it happening.

And here's the story behind it:

I will JaG. I'm just working on it gradually but consistently. I was a shrimp for most of my life - the last one to get my feminine characteristics;) in my whole class - only 69 lbs when I went into high school, but I got up to 110 when I graduated.

69 lbs is tiny!! Yes, the hardest part is keeping up with it. I just started my exercise routine about 2 months ago. I've lost a couple inches on my waist and gained some muscle definition in this short time, but have to keep at it. I'm not overweight, just have to tone up.
