I don't see us as having much freedom anymore. We are free to complain and we are free to leave, almost everything else seems to be controlled by the gubmint.
We still have the freedom of movement. If we can afford to move. Seriously, we have a lot of freedoms to be thankful for. And, we need to be diligent and protect what we have. For all we lost in the past 10 years, we have more than many do. I just wish voting was more significant than it is ... yet, I will continue to vote religiously.

I reckon freedom doesn't mean free to do anything your pea pickin' heart desires. Funny the way civilization is sometimes.

Freedom as layed out by the DofI and the Constitution is as long as it doesn't violated the rights of life liberty or property of others. NOT some junk science based ideas that 'might' or someone whose 'sensibilities' have been 'offended' by noise, smell, smoke or lights.

Civilization happens to have some things that people don't like, but they can move, change channels, etc. - but if they're not harmed, they have, in a true republic, no basis for nitpicking complainsts, that usually end up, if acted upon, in less freedom and in this case less fun.

Enuf for here....

Yup, NCC. I still vote too, I don't know if it's worth much, but I still do it.
