Oh, now I remember Laura's turning. She was real excited last night and looking forward to her turning. I did post in her welcome thread. Someone else who is coming up in a coupla days theme is chihuahuas, exotic cars and women - that's why I guessed a chihuahua.

Me, I'm fine - just taking a break.

I went to the weather channel and found a kayaker's worst nightmare .............

Orleans resident Dana Richardson told the Cape Cod Times he saw a shark fin following him Saturday while he was paddle boarding about 200 feet from shore in eight feet of water, then later spotted a fin following a kayaker. The kayaker quickly rowed ashore.

Experts say the sharks are being drawn to Cape Cod waters by an abundance of seals, a favorite meal of the predatory fish.

Sea, we...go in the water, the shark's in the water (quote from Jaws)...not good to run into one though. They're pure muscle too!

jj, on the phone again? :(

JaG, in my younger years, we used to wear our suits under our school clothes, then head for the beach for surfing afterwards. There was a snack bar at the beach with a side storage for all our boards. I had an 8'6" Hobie and a 9'1" Tiki stored there. And of course there was sailing, speedboating and skiing. Not anymore .... I am so afraid of sharks now that I will only go in the water up to my waist. The last time I was in the water a few yrs back was with a group of ppl in an outrigger canoe.

just checking to see if (((sun))) has been back on ........

~~~~~~ @ all!
Haven't seen Sun yet, Tib. I'm waiting to hear from her too. Prayers and positive energy still going out for her.
OTOH, I did eMail rkayw, got a reply back and shortly thereafter, she has been on ECF and has seen her party section of the PVT and her Welcome thread (and has also posted to it). She is recovering well, and they found no cancer during her surgery. She is sore but recovering well at home.
I think when we're younger, we feel invincible, didn't know better and didn't care. Now, we worry a lot!! Great, huh? :lol:
Yes, there's the RW but...
Come, my friends,
'Tis not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down:
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Gone poetic on you again...:facepalm:
