I told my Doctor about occasional lower leg cramps, and I was told the same thing Terry said. I use Gator Aid to get the Potassium I need. You can get the G or G2 kind.

i am taking Cilostazol but i need to way around 12 weeks to see the effect, i might try the gator too if it really works, i never taken potassium on my food :(

Being in pain keeps someone in a bad mood too. :(

The meds help a lot but still there are days.

I don't know about Sleeping that way, but having one (and actually using it) sure would be good for most back problems.

DH use to do this. It doesn't help that much anymore though.

Besides he looks funny hanging upside down.

I'm going to write that down and ask my Dr. next time about it, to see if maybe I have it. It can't hurt to ask.

the main symptom is when you walk, after 50 feet more or less you have to stop, one minute later the pain is gone, after 50 feet again it is back, it is like the veins are clogged

Oh and my neck problem is from whiplash years ago.

My neck and lower back all started from a car crash in 1972 when I was 17. I was in the from passenger seat of a Pinto that hit a telephone pole at 35 mph. The steering failed, we went into a ditch, and there was the pole... just waiting. It had been raining, so the brakes didn't do much good. My sister was in the back seat behind me. No one was wearing a seat belt, so she piled in on top of me.

My back didn't actually go out until 1984, but that was the cause. I limped a bit for a good while until it finally went out. I'm really in good shape now. It only bothers me if I stand for long periods. I have an excellent Chiro who gets me back up with only one adjustment, but I haven't needed him in over 6 years.

I found this

A. Pain from intermittent claudication is caused by your leg muscles not receiving the oxygen rich blood they require during exercise. The pain can be severe enough to hinder a person from walking. A "Charlie horse" is a leg cramp in the muscle and can normally be relieved by rubbing or massaging, and this may occur at rest or merely with stretching. The pain from intermittent claudication will always subside upon resting. If you are not sure if you have PAD, see your doctor! more

It works for me just fine, but you may have a different problem than me. But hey, the Potassium and Electrolytes can't hurt.

Then I doubt that's what I have. Thanks for the description.

Mine seems to be more like a Charlie Horse.

You're lucky you've fully recovered with little reoccurrence. I was rear ended and got whiplash and most people never recover from that. It has bother me ever since.
