Well, we're not catholic so he wasn't receiving last rites, but the minister knows he needs comfort and prayer right now. He is in a very serious situation and surgery is pretty much unavoidable. The surgeon is nervous about it and that is not good.

Aw Lisa, me too. This just happened on Saturday and he sounds stronger than when I talked to him then but the surgeon is afraid the anesthesia will disrupt what memory he has left. That's if he makes it through the surgery. We'll see.... poor old daddy.

Sorry to read about your dad, Sun. I hope things improve...and if surgery is necessary, I am praying the outcome is good. I just went through worrying about a loved one in perilous surgery so I do know how much you are stressing.

Well, it has finally stopped snowing....and this system left quite a dump. When we finally get above freezing, the flooding potential could be disastrous. I hope it thaws gradually. We are finally going to have several days in a row above freezing this week, but more snow this weekend.

Unbelievable....snowiest winter of my whole 39 years.

That storm is on the way to us now...they originally forecasted rain for us, but now they're calling for 2-4" of snow...Booooo!

Yes....I heard that, Stone. Direct TV and the Weather Channel got into a dispute and now Direct TV no longer has the Weather Channel....but WeatherNation. I like it better. All weather, all the time. No storm stories, or fishing stories, or weather disaster stories....just weather.

Well, that's what I would expect from a weather channel...but then again, I don't have cable so I have to rely on the interwebz or the local forecast

I love the internet for weather....I can get close enough to see the weather right in our township. Have I ever told you my grandkids call me weather Grammy? My granddaughter informed me her dad (my son) is just like me....has the weather channel on their tv all the time. That apple did not fall far from the tree.

And my daughter told me the last time I babysat for the now 14 year old, he was addicted to the weather channel after I left. LOL. I am a great influence.
