I went out to dinner last night, and just getting to the restaurant was pretty cold. We're supposed to warm up past freezing this week, though.

Well, not the best morning for me 
Most of the way home from work was pretty clear. The secondary roads are covered in snow. As I was driving home I saw a too-familiar car that side-swiped a telephone pole. My 18-yr-old son was on his way to work and he is not experienced driving in snow. This is his car. Thank God, he is fine!!

I had a dread that it was his car when I went by it. There was nobody there except a trooper with his lights on. So I continued home (not very far from the wreck). As soon as I got home and saw his car was not in the driveway, the dread got worse. Then DH confirmed it. But, he is OK and for that I am soooo thankful!!eta: son lost his cell phone at work last week so he didn't even have a phone with him. Somebody stopped when they saw the wreck and he called home. My older son went and picked him up. So, when I got home I went back to the scene to talk to the trooper. And wait for the tow truck.

Tink - relieved your son is okay. Sorry about the car, but that can be replaced. Looks like a wallop slam sideways.... watch him for a headache - he could have hurt his neck without knowing it...
Stone - it's my fave too. I've been cutting back on soft drinks and am usually sitting here in the evening with a glass of Simply Lemonade or oj. Sometimes it is a jigger or two of honey whiskey instead.
