It was a long day, but a good one. Just finished reading all 10 pages and I'm heading out. I hope you all have sweet dreams.

Hey beachmates
We went to friends tonight and man, oh man, did they treat us to a delicious meal
They had filet mignons (at least 5" thick!!) that he (my BFF's fiance) marinated with a little olive oil, s & p, and garlic. Then pan-seared in a very hot pan. Then a big dollop of butter on top of each and into the oven for 18 minutes. As yummy as high-end steak houses. Also had crunchy green beans (OK, not my favorite. I'm a southern girl and like my green beans cooked to death 
) and broiled potatoes. Then he made Bananas Foster for dessert! My girlfriend cracked me up… she was standing by with the fire extinguisher while he ignited the rum!
I'm working Sun thru Tue nights this week so I'll try to peek in if I get the chance.

Especially to Glammie who is going stir crazy!! (pssst. here's a picture of her )

Because I'm one of those people who doesn't have an especially expressive face...some people seem to think that I'm perpetually cranky (which is kind of true
), but they can't always tell when I'm joking. I think it's one of the reasons I use emoticons on the forum...the tone of the written word is easily misinterpreted, plus I'm used to some folks taking me too seriously.

No, I usually avoid Chelsea if I can...but I think the next time someone wants to have dinner in that neighborhood I'll try to make it there. I'm always game to try a new place if it has been recommended. Thanks!

No, Glammie is not getting out today either.....we had another couple of inches of snow last night, and are under a wind advisory with temps dropping to sub zero. Schools are already closing for tomorrow. So, I guess it would be worse getting out than staying in. TV is saying we will be under a weather advisory this afternoon, lasting into Wed. morning.
So today this is how I am going to go stir crazy..... Cooking mode is setting in.

Yeah we always need a reservation, they are a busy place. Now on the other end of gourmet , ever hear of S'mac? All they serve is mac and cheese in all different selections, it's so good!
