Hahaha - when I was a young teen my dad decided he was going to "take control" of the grocery expenses. He started coming home from Kroger's with all this "cost-cutter" food and such. My mother refused to serve it and it all went in the garbage lolol. So much for cost cutting.... but he also bought cost cutter beer! It was in these bright yellow cans that were labeled "BEER" in black! No one would drink those but him, so I guess he did cut costs with that! Shudder.....

He was Die-Hard about it.

LOL I haven`t seen that in FOREVER:)

I've never seen them, or even heard of them.

LOL - You remember that stuff? My brothers used to hoot at him whenever he pulled one out of the fridge. Of course it was also stocked with PBR! Nice choices, huh?

Now I do remember PBR. My Mom liked it. My best friend's Mother drank it with salt in it. :shudder:

That sucks. :(

I've lived all over the South, in Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, and my 1st enlistment in the Navy was 80 miles north of L.A. in Oxnard.

I've had alligator one time, in NOLA. It was in burger form. It was tasty, but tough. But not as tough as the Squid I had once. It was as tough as a Goodyear Tire.

Yeah, I was on the south central Cali coast for a while. Saw my first concert in Pismo Beach. "Slayer", "....." and "Trouble" (they shut down the concert because of a mini riot, which was interesting LOL)....yeah High School days. Serious bad boy... Black Leather, spikes and a rockin hot muscle car.

Re: alligator, If you ever go to Dallas see if "Razoos" is still around. Very tender deep fried gator sandwich with the best butter based hot sauce I have ever had.....scrumptious!

I love cats. I had 30 or so at one time that I adopted. Alot of semi-feral ones. I remember getting 300 lbs of dry cat food at a time.

All courtesy of Purina, free, God bless that company!

Was an informal rescue operation much to the chagrin of the woman I was married to then.

Beware of people who don't like cats. Especially if you are romantically involved with 'em.

That's great, Scott. No pun intended. Well, yeah, pun intended lol. I volunteer for a rescue and also run my own and have a club at school where I train kids how to rescue and care for newborns through adult cats. No kitten leaves our rescue until is has all of its shots and is spayed/neutered. I go for orientation tomorrow at our county shelter. I helped out there two years ago but then had knee surgery and never went back. It was also a pitiful place where I would find dead kittens in cages and babies with eyes gummed shut from infection. It is now run by a vet so I hope to find it better.

The shelter I took gray tabby to was mostly for dogs, but was kept quite clean, I thought. I found that encouraging, along with the promise.
