Yes that's true, but she and her fella are not married and three are his ...

It worry's me for her to depend on him like that you know?

I bet you do. My DD would be fine if something happens to SIL. She makes more money than he does.

Son would be fine but DIL would be in a bind if something happened.

It's just flat out hard these days.

I stayed home with our two for 14 years and we did without a lot ... probably be even harder to do now.

Me too. Was planning to go back to work after they were grown but then DH went down. A couple of years ago he had surgery which made him a lot better but by then I was over 60. Not many hiring us oldies but goodies unless you want to be a greeter at WalMart.

 I know what you mean.
I was fortunate and got a job 1 and 1/2 miles from home at 40 working at the butcher shop :)
Did that for almost 10 years, then a couple of other lousy jobs; now I sub for people back at the butcher shop part-time.
Oh, I know what you mean. Our kids don't think we know what we are talking about ;) I hear they figure it out…. eventually
Well, DD is getting there (she's 23) but DS (25) has a looooong way to go

This happened to an Englishman in France who was totally drunk.

A French policeman stopped his car and asked the gentleman if he has been drinking.

With great difficulty, the Englishman admitted that he has been drinking all day, that his daughter married a French man, and that he drank champagne, a few bottles of wine at the reception, and quite a few glasses of single malt thereafter.

Quite upset, the policeman proceeded to alcotese (breath test) him and asked the Englishman if he knew why, under French law, he had just been arrested.

The Englishman answered with humor, "No! Do you know that this is a British car and that my wife is the driver... on the other side?"

Hey Dale....my son stayed a teenager until he turned 30...now he is a fine upstanding citizen with a great job and also a volunteer fireman and a paramedic. Would have never believed it possible. Trying to provide a light at the end of the tunnel. :)
