What I have found is that they are inaccurate on the low side, not really defrosting and having to repeat. That's prolly why I never looked at this one.

Mine is just the opposite....will start cooking the meat long before the time runs out. I just take off all that is defrosted and put the frozen back in.

If mine did that, I'd probably put it all in the pot and brown it like I always have. It would get to the middle, but the outside would already be soft.

I know you would. I lived there for 25 years, and I can tell you the food is great!!! :thumbs:

Stef....Stevie spent 4 days down there with one of her friends who had a brother who operated a restaurant there. She came back raving about the food....I know it is famous for its food. And I love cajun, seafood, creole, beignets, and all those creams and sauces....yes, I would be in hog heaven down there for sure! :D

It's not just Cajun/Creole food. There's also French, Italian, Greek, and I don't know what all else.

I know.....a lot of it is in the French Quarter......but I bet if you were a savvy local, you would know even better places to go....little holes in the wall with great food. :)
