I had to come back to work to get some rest!

Got some work done on the upstairs bedroom. Broke out all the plaster and tore out all the wall slats. There must've been ten thousand nails holding them slats up! Took me all afternoon to pull them all out. I think it was worse than pulling all the carpet pad staples out of the floor.
It wasn't too cold to be doing that kind of work up there?I forgot about the upstairs bedroom. I know what you mean about pulling nails and staples. Been there, done that, had the t-shirt and wore it out.
Wasn't bad. I was pulling and swearing and picking up crap so I stayed pretty warm. I'll post a picture. And you will notice...NO insulation in them walls! Stupid old 100 year old houses! 
I figured you'd be OK from working so hard.You talked about the insulation before.
Is it going to stay a bedroom? How about making it a game room. You could haul a pool table up there.
Yeah...it'll stay a bedroom. Well...the treadmill will be up there. Pool table? I...I did mention this house is 100 years old. The stair case is only 28 inches wide and turns at the bottom. Hell...I can't even get a full sheet of drywall up there. I have to cut everything in half. Getting a mattress up there will be a ..... and box springs is out of the question. I'm thinking futon.
Oh well. You could put in some one arm bandits & video poker machines. Glam has been wanting to move south.
If Glam moved in with me...I don't think those are the toys she'd want up there. I'd have to paint the walls...Grey.

Grey isn't an awful color.
So yeah...I took all the plaster and slats off the wall. Here are a couple of pictures. The insulation you see on the ceiling is what I put in. Neither the walls or the roof had any insulation in them. You can click on them for a larger image. Old houses...nothing square and whatever wood was handy to build it.
