I'm not saying my diet is perfect
But, I have tried eating right and have done certain regimens (ie, advocare, the skinny gut diet, etc) and can not lose a pound. Then I get discouraged/...... and start eating again and gain MORE weight
Also, I have other symptoms, so would like to get thyroid checked. And, if it is not thyroid, maybe a full blood workup will show something that is causing it
She may just tell me I am lazy and to get my azz off the couch![]()
My guess would be a combination of things. I do find that "night people" snack a bit more than day people. They sleep more(on the days they're not working). But basically...that doesn't change the formula. If there's nothing wrong(usually there isn't)then it's calories in/calories out. Some people will tell me(DW being one), "I eat healthy foods!" And it's true...she does. But...she eats TOO MUCH "healthy food." Just try cutting your calories by a third and jump on the elliptical for 30 minutes a day. I'm guessing you're taking in more calories then you expend. That's the general problem most people have. Program diets don't work for most people cause it's not the food they normally eat. When I see I've gained a few pounds(which, with my genetics, is easy)I automatically cut what I normally eat in half for a week or ten days to bring my weight back down. Another thing to keep in mind is that our bodies take a "change" every three to five years and our metabolic rate changes(usually slowing)so if you don't change what you do or eat...ya gain weight.
By all means go get yourself checked out(always a good idea annually). But if things check out ok...you'll just have to "buck up" and do what needs to be done.
