hi Terry,
If you want to use TC, you will need to source EC-TC Nickel, or EC-TC Titanium Atomizer heads.
Your kit did NOT come with TC compatible coil heads.

"1 x istick Pico 75W TC Device
1 x Melo 3 Mini tank
1 x EC Kanthal 0.3 ohm Atomizer head (Preinstalled)
1 x EC Kanthal 0.5 ohm Atomizer Head
1 x Spare Bag of O-rings
1 x Micro USB Cable"

Cheers

I'm assuming you are fairly new to vaping? If so I would suggest you get used to vaping by wattage first. Then if you want to try TC you will have a better idea of how they compare and if you like one better than the other.

Some people prefer TC, some prefer wattage. The main benefit of TC is that it, in theory, prevents dry hits meaning that if you vape the tank empty (or vape faster than the wick can keep up) the wick won't burn.

If you want to be able to adjust the max temperature of your coil; TC mode and TC compatible coils are needed.

"The basic principle behind temperature control is simple.
...you set the maximum temperature you want the atomiser to achieve. When you press the fire button the mod monitors the temperature (resistance) and automatically adjusts power to bring the coil up to that temperature as fast as possible, then keep it there."

Otherwise, you run/tweak in wattage mode.

It's a different 'style' of vaping. I started with crappy little devices with no variables. They were weak and ineffective. Then I used a device with variable Voltage and it did the trick. I upgraded to a better device that had variable Wattage as an option, and doing it that way seemed to give me a more consistent vape. I eventually upgraded to an even better device that had TC as an option. I didn't mess with it for a really long time. I finally did start messing around with TC earlier this year and it's kind of nice. It reminds me of smoking a pipe. I have only tried it on two tanks using two types of coils (nickel and stainless steel) so someone else who has more experience with it than me could probably walk you through the pros and cons. I get the feeling that TC is something that is used more by people who vape direct-to-lung. But, for me, it's an enjoyable pipe mimic when I'm in the mood for it.

    Interesting.
I vape Halo Black Calico because it reminds me of my old pipe.

    Why different juice ?

I've been using the same juice for TC that I use for higher Wattage. Usually 80/20 or 70/30 @ 6 mgs nic. A TC mod will let you use high Wattage to get to the temp you set, so I've been treating it as a high Wattage vape. I have mine set to use 25W because I like the ramp up (feels more like a pipe) but it will go to 75. I guess it would depend on the temp you set?

What is the batery life like on the Pico 75W pls?
It's all depends... Can be all from 6 hours to 2-3 days. Pico with a mtl-tank vaping it at 14 Watt and the battery will last a long time if you use some 3000mah battery and if you run it with sub-ohm build it won't be that great.

I have been considering one and i mtl so would be just on 14W or so. I like the look iof the Pico nice little device.
I would highly recommend the pico/melo 3. I run a .5 ohm coil @40-45W With new 3000mah batteries, one would last me all day (4-6 ml/day). After 6 months, it takes 2 batteries/day. You'd be good to go for a while @14W.

I fire my Pico/Melo III Mini at 27.5 Watts which is considered low I don't think you would get a good vape at 14W. Just my opinion though.
