Geez, I picked up a 901 from madvapes a couple weeks ago. It's about the only ecig I don't have and for $29 for a kit I figured...what the heck. I freakin love this thing! It has it's own personality. Once you get the "proper" technique down with this, what a chimney! Thanks to whoever posted something the other day about throat hit and direct inhaling. Woahhhhh!!!!:-x 8-o

Yes I have a 510. It's hard to compare the 2 really. The 510 gets down to business and kicks .... even if you don't try. The 901 has a smoother draw and you have to "adjust" the way you hit it or the vapor isn't as plentiful. Once you get the draw down, it really takes off! It holds more juice too than the 510. The atomizer in the 901 seems to be very consistent and never gets really hot like the 510. I don't think you'd be sorry if you bought it. It's a good, reliable ecig in my opinion. Remember...it's just MY opinion. We're all different in what we're looking for in an ecig...

I started with the 510. I loved it. Not as flavorfull as I would have liked, and maybe not exactaly clouds of vapor, but enough. I never bought another pack of cigs.

Then I picked these up:
PV Adapters

I got a 510-901/808 and a 510-801. I found that the 801 produced more vapor. Now I do have to mention that I don't have any carts for it so I have to drip. Obviously with so much vapor there was significant throat hit, but still not the flavor I wanted, even dripping.

Then I tried the 901 and fell in love. Decent ammount of vapor, but the flavor is amazing. I've made four simple mods, (licorice tin mod, flashlight mod and a pair of nicostix.) Three of the four mods are 901, one is 510.

I still don't have actual 901 batts, I use my 510 batts or pass or a mod.

901's are easy to mod because you can buy a pretty good battery connector from radio shack, (M or N type DC jack).

Hope that helps some.

Pick up the adapter, a 901 atty and a pack of carts, you won't regret it and with the adaptes it won't break you to try.

I bought 1 - KR808-D1 Cartomizers Empty @ $6.69 and 1 - 510 Battery to 808,901 Atomizer Adapter @ $5.50 from Cigtechs.com and they just came in yesterday. I love the longevity and consistency of the cartomizers! I'm using an auto Joye 510 battery that I thought I would never touch again and loving it. The flavor is great, but the vapor production and TH are lacking. I think I'm going to vape Joye 510 at home and this 808 combo when out since I can go hours without a refill and no topping off.

Glad to hear that a few other people are really enjoying the 901. I have been feeling like a dinosaur here, a vanishing breed, as I started with the 901 ten months ago, and have never needed anything else. Yes, you develop your technique (with a bit of "primer puffing" - like smoking a pipe) and the flavor is terrific. Throw some VG into some DIY juice and there are clouds of vapor. Maybe not the strongest throat hit, but I have always preferred clouds of vapor to a heavy throat hit.

Granted, the weakness is in the stock auto batteries, needing to swap out quite a few per day to keep going, so I have plenty charged and rotating. This is also why I have ordered a Little Chuck. Now I can enjoy the flavor and vapor production of the 901 with a powerhouse of a battery that will last all day, in a device that has been custom designed just for me. Love it!

Aloha

I've been using a 901 in one form or another for over 4 months. At the moment I have a 901 atty stuffed in my Bartleby. I love the flavor the 901 gives, but I have to admit I haven't had much luck with the auto batteries. I've lost 2 in the past month and I have 4 others with switch problems. At first I thought perhaps I had gotten juice in the battery, but now I think it's just fatique from constant use.

One good thing about the Bart and the Little Chuck... they'll "put the volts" to a weak atty and force it to vape where the auto batteries fail. As time goes by I'm loving the battery mods more and more...

I started out three weeks ago on a 510 and was relatively happy with it, it got me off the analogs, but I got a 901 yesterday and I'm really in love with it, significantly more vapor and the vapor is cooler, so it doesn't irritate my throat, and the draw is smoother. I'll keep the 510 as a backup but I'll definitely be getting more accessories for the 901.

:)I started with the M401 and then went to a 901 passthru before getting my first 901 kit all this in about 8 weeks , Now about 8 months later i still love my 901 and haven't really needed anything else. I haven't touched an analog since day 1, I have found that manual batteries are a good thing lol:lol: .
one of these days when it rains money:rolleyes: I will probably get a mod like the little chuck for those weak atomizers facing the pit of doom lol:shock:. But for anyone wanting to know if the 901 is a good investment , most definitely, the 901 is here to stay , solid dependability.
